Just got out of the theater after avoiding social media for about a week. Nothing prepared me for what I just witnessed. HOLY SHIT!!
10/10
No words for the hype for part 2.
I'm glad I didn't avoid social media or Reddit. There wasn't a single spoiler lmao I was still on Reddit while eating popcorn before previews.
I'm having the same experience. Even the Agents of Shield subreddit was seemingly devoid of spoilers, though that may have just been the mods being on point. Still three days til I can see it though. Most things I spoil for myself without much regard, but with so much build up and liking the majority of the characters, I'm left wanting a genuine experience in the theater. I don't think spoiling myself ahead of time would be worth losing that experience with this movie.
Oh hey a tip for everyone.
There is only ONE end credit scene as mentioned earlier. It takes place after ALL of the credits role, which is something like 10 minutes no joke. This is your chance to go to the bathroom, seriously. It's an incredibly long wait, I could have gone and peed and refilled my popcorn and drink a few times and still made it back. I really wish I knew this I drank a massive XL drink and was crossing my legs grabbing my shit and doing the pee pee dance the whole time.
It's easily 10 minutes I could have gone at the half way point of the credits don't wait if you gotta pee lol.
I didn't realize that the whole movie was shot in pure IMAX glory. My imax was massive and the full breadth of the screen was used throughout the movie. So glad it wasn't that bullshit "10 min of imax screen time, 235 min of normal lame screen time"
Highly recommend imax.
First time In awhile seeing a movie more than once in theaters. My new favorite marvel movie. It's going to be a very long wait for the 2nd half.
Russo bros do it again. Winter Soldier was my former favorite. IW stole that title last night for sure. 5/7. I'll be seeing it again this week.
Read somewhere that worldwide opening weekend made $28 million less than Justice League's full run
Yeah it is now the record holder for both domestic and worldwide opening weekend records. 630 million beat Fast and the Furious 8 WITHOUT having China numbers which Furious 8 had. That's impressive.
When it does open in China, will the figures from that "opening weekend" be added to the 630m? I'm sure that question's been answered by other movies in the past, just never cared to look into it.
May 11. No they won't.
It's almost like DC sucks dicks at making money and movies.
The difference between the #1 and #2 movie in the US this weekend (The Quiet Place) is equal to the entire domestic run of Justice League.
Wow, that's sad.
I'd say it's more impressive on Marvel. Justice League wasn't a huge bust, just not a huge success.

Nothing like a Disney subsidiary congratulating another Disney subsidiary amirite?
