if you see them run off and the chain still attached that means they purified themselves

Fucking hate how incompetent Adders are on my datacentre
It doesn't matter how many times you explain the strat, people just run off like headless chickens rather than actually try to defend anything. I'm convinced the majority don't realize that you lose points for dying. It's doubly bad because like half my matches have been 24 man so only had to explain to a party yet they still won't listen.
Immortal flames on primal are still so bad, but im rank 40 and don't want to start over.![]()
So as a Paladin....wtf am I doing in here. What do I rank. What's going on. I can't infinite stun someone forever anymore (okay so it was like 10 seconds what's your point) so I'm trying to pin down exactly where I should be and what I should be doing in and inbetween fights. Really contemplating going BRD or SMN for PVP because I'm pretty sure assists don't feed into Battle High and I overall don't feel effectual on the battlefield. Also because I maybe think the Behemoth King sword looks like junk but that's not the point here.
You're just a stunbot at best with some toys to annoy the other side. Pair up with a dps friend and you can down just about anyone in seconds. Stun > heavy slash > stun stun stun.
I highly recommend icarus wing/regain feather as melee in frontline. It gives you the option to sprint whenever you almost please so you can chase down those casters/range. Both stack so I always bring both.
So I hear 2.x PvP gear can be brought/worn with no rank requirements? Someone was talking about it on LS, but the gear still states you need Rank, was wondering if anyone knows more.
My bushy bushy BLM/SMN tail coat approaches!
Edit: sorry ignore me, I decided to examine the patch notes again and saw:
[2.0] The PvP rank requirement for item level 100 and 110 PvP gear has been removed.
In light of this fact, can someone answer me 3 questions quickly?
1. Would I get the same currency (Wolf Marks I think?) for participating in the new level 60 frontlines?
2. Is the old level 50 frontlines still viable? To farm marks
3. I noticed the massive cost of 2.x PvP gear, 7425/12375 marks... please tell me I don't get a pathetic 100~200 marks per frontline haha
Yes, all the PvP modes give the same Wolf Marks. Level 50 frontlines isn't viable now since you'll likely not ever see a queue for it pop up (unless people are queuing Frontline roulette I guess? But it's not feasible to farm a lot of marks this way). Marks come in pretty quick, 300 for last place, 450 for second and 600 for first place. I believe there's a system in place where you get more and more if you keep losing too, IE first loss will give 300, second loss 330, third loss 360. You lose the bonus for a win, but it helps balance out the rewards a little if you have a bad streak or your GC just happens to be shitty on your datacenter.
It is 300 marks for 3rd place, 400 for 2nd and 500 for a win i think.
The ilvl110 pieces only cost up to 8kish marks.
Thank you thank you. I've not touched the pvp quests/stuff. So I'll unlock and go check it out. I got the prices off one of the wiki sites, it's possible they've been adjusted.
The figures don't seem too bad. Managable. Then I can rank up slowly and get new stuff later.
edit:
I was looking just now at: http://xivdb.com/?item/7397/Wolfseye-Coat and http://xivdb.com/?item/9130/Wolfliege-Coat
Is it right to assume the 110 Wolfliege Coat is the same model as the Wolfseye Coat but dyable?
Both are dyeable.
The ilvl110 body armor usually has a slightly different model and might dye differently compared to the ilvl100 one.
I am not sure if any other parts of the sets are acutally different besides the default color.
The Queue times rock, never waited more then 2min last night. (Primal,Flames)
I like the randomness of the new zone, even when we are getting trashed, I can play guess where and try to claim the next rock. Good random clashes in the middle as well. I definitely prefer the beach side of the zone where you can see stuff happening in the distance, it feels like a real battle field. The caves just seem crowded. Also there are very few fall and die spots which is nice compared to mount knockback.
Yeah even with all the losses I did enjoy it last night. I think the numbers would be better somewhere in the middle though. 72 feels far too much but 24 was too easy for a team to suck through 1-2 bads or be dominated by a premade.
72 might get better once people start using tactics and there's less all out firefights at one spot whilst the 1 team racks up easy points uncontested at other nodes.
Is there still the 5 day cockblock between promotions?
