yeah will be pretty nasty more than likely. maybe you can poll some mael guys on the server to see what they say.
Small tip because I'm an idiot.
Make sure you queue for FL roulette on a 60, otherwise it's going to stick you into 24man Borderland Ruins after a very long wait.
I thought I would be cute and queue on 55 SMN since I could just change inside to DRK, only hit me when most of the people in Border were sub-60.
God I love Warrior out there. A slashing buff, a vurn buff (full swing), Berserk, crit buff into double or triple fell cleave. We have the durability, the power, the self-sustain, the ability to sprint while still being able to have TP left over to attack (equalibrium + enliven is essentially full TP again, so sprint away, wars) and team synergy with a tank LB Plus thrill of War for turning a small group of skirmishers into a red-hot frenzied band of berserkers.
All around the battlefield I hear the ringing of fell cleave steel, and I love it.
Queues haven't been so bad on Mael on Primal. Was duo queued a good chunk of the day yesterday and would get in games in 5 minutes, had a single match where it made us wait 45 minutes for some reason but during that time people in our PvP shell were all getting matches, some of whom got 2 matches during those 45 minutes, so I don't think it was our GC being flooded but just the nature of duo queuing being fucky. I'll probably be solo queueing a bunch later today so I'll chime in on how it goes later if I do.
If a SMN locks on to you and you don't have Purify, I feel fucked. BRD supporting them is even worse.
I don't actually find SMNs particularly threatening, but I play MNK 95% of the time so I have a lot of self healing to kind of invalidate their burst and they can't do much of anything after that. Unless positioning is really shitty I think you just have to commit to fighting SMNs, once they blow their burst on you they don't have much left to throw out for a good chunk of time, if you have some tool to dispel off their stacks (lol One Ilm Punch spam) it just prevents them from doing much of anything too. Mages really can't go toe to toe with anyone so getting all up on them as just about any class always seems to work out pretty favourably unless it involves running in to a mass of enemies to do so (and you're not similarly numbered).
A good SMN will know to save their burst until it's likely to KO.
Doing a bunch of damage is fine, but if that damage is easily healed it amounts to dick.
That was always SMN's problem in PvP, all the DoTs in the world don't amount to much if there's a Regen outhealing them.
highest dmg game so far. feels like the bottom must have really fallen out for us to lose that game, though

I think you killed me a couple times, asshole!
Have your fun, I'll be 60 SMN in like a week and come to return the favor.
See that picture right there pretty much sums up Twin Adder on my data centre. Frequently have like 6-7 of the top 10 for kills yet always miles away from actually winning because people just want to stand and fight rather than actually get nodes/whatever they're called.
Edit: How are BRDs / MCHs using their LB? Outside of bind/sleep or as a scare tactic I can't seem to use it effectively. Well other than catching people off guard up/down slopes. I catch a stray 1-2 people occasionally but a lot of time I completely whiff
I only played 1 or 2 games this morning, I remember your name though.
Edit: Well this is a thing. Don't BfB kids. http://redd.it/3e8yqr
I haven't really pvp'd much myself, as I'm trying to get my SMN up for it. Gonna try for lv60 today or close to it, 2 more lvls left. Maelstrom seems to be the new Flames on primal apparently.
Also, fleet of foot trait being removed in pvp makes me sad, more reason to just play DRG as only melee in pvp.
How is the current job balance without a premade team? Is WAR/DRA/SMN the to go/smash jobs in PvP?
I don't pvp that often and not sure if I just ran into terrible playesr, but was on smn earlier and having a blast. Everyone I could single out I can burst down quickly. Feels good to take down a healer for once.
