Even though its late as well, I'm still getting insta queues on primal, 72s at that. It's been like this all day. Too bad Law is pretty useless, nothing to spend these capped tomes on.

Is it just me or does stun feel ridiculously overpowered right now? It feels like if you get stunned right now, you're dead. Like I know stun has always been good but I can attribute every one of my deaths in the last 5 matches to being stunned.
Think it's just because this is much less zergy. Having a healer or four nearby isn't so prevalent and you don't have shit-for-brain DPS/tanks bumrushing you and all opening with their stun buttons making you immediately immune to stuns before it's any threat. I feel like the damage:hp ratio is also a lot more skewed in favour of damage now. It feels much easier to burst people imo than it did at 50 cap, but maybe I'm imagining things.
Anyone playing BLM and have any tips?
Only reason I'm playing the job right now because my main PVP job (MNK) isn't 60 yet but I feel like it's one of the more useless jobs in this new iteration because the game mode is inherently nomadic and the change to BLM depends on it being stationary to be effective. I see a lot of utility in controlling choke points but the CC we have is kinda pointless against anyone competent and unlike SMN, once more than one person focuses you, you're done. Feel like there needs to be a speed buff for BLM spell casting in PVP.
It has potential to be retardely strong because you can kill most jobs in 3 Fire IVs (2 if you get good crits) but there are very few opportunities to get there because you have to constantly think about self-preservation before DPS when it should be DPS before self-preservation.
Some Cammy Toe blm on Gilgamesh went 18-0 with about 400k damage. Christ almighty.
Someone out there's got blm all figured out.
More than likely when I see a BLM do such high numbers, the first thing that comes to mind is the ledge camp you can do depending on rock spawns, you can literally chill up there and freecast all day, till people start to push up to where they are. Dropping flare and caster LB from there will inflate it pretty well, on top of having high/fever for more damage.
Holy shit. I thought my friend and myself were doing very good with wins, but turns out some guy went on to have 142 wins out of 220 matches. Nuts!
Also I would hate to play BLM in frontline, simply because I kill them only second to SMN in the kill-all-the-DPS heirarchy. Plus with only scathe as their instant spell, they really are harmless if you can single them out.
Lol, almost 630am here and still getting in under 2min 72 queues, shit is so good
It makes me sad that all those top people are Adders considering how garbage Adders are on my datacentre. At work right now so can't check but I think my record for the week is something hideous like 4/20/10. It might even be only 3 wins.
Looking at Lodestone, when the rankings reset happened I have 2 wins at a 7.4% win rate. It does seem looking at the list I've had pretty bad luck although most Adders are like 15-25%
Spoiler: show
This is the best Ive done so far but I am really liking this
I totally messed up and changed back to maelstrom. Went from sub5 min waits on Flames to 26min+ waits. (most of the time it says greater than 30)
My SMN should be 60 tonight which will be fun to toy with!
Yup, I left mael asap when it was taking me near an hour to get queues, fuck that, rolled back to adder, queue times fixed. I'll eventually come back to mael to finish maxing my rank on it, but probably gonna just stick with adder for time being.

Didn't know Draws were possible : o
Not my best. Maelstorm's lack of healers was strong that round :/
I'm amazed you guys got a draw in seal rock of all things, holy shit. Draws were already kinda rareish in slaughter, I just can't see this shit happening anytime soon in seal rock though, lol.
Can outrun ARC/MCH LB causing it to cancel / lose half a gauge. Very hard to outrun Melee LB (I assume it's possible, I've just never managed it). Fucking brilliant logic SE.
Like how does it remotely make sense that Melee LB hits someone sprinting away that manages to get a good 20 yalms away yet a ranged LB cancels if the target steps back 5 yalms behind where the line would finish.
You can run through melee LBs and cancel them by line of sighting them, I had to add a /facetarget macro to my LB just for PvP because of the amount of LBs I'd lose to absolutely nothing. Melee LB is super finicky and although it can seem really generous at times it's by far the hardest LB to use imo. Stuns are practically mandatory to use them and the rate at which stuns gets DR'd it ridiculous. If you aren't aware ahead of time that its DR'd you can very easily lose your LB just by doing stun -> LB and having the person sprint away. Not to mention how high a risk you have of being stunned/slept due to positioning anyway.
