So AFKing in groups is a thing now? Sigh. I guess you can't stop exploits of the system no matter how you do it.

okay, w/e. Keep using the crappy strat that we crush every single match.
......yes, the fact that I advocated and detailed the very strat you're describing means I think it doesn't work and isn't useful.
Tarp as a shack, this one.
So you're just being dumb and arguing both sides of the argument now, even though it's clearly harder to counter a team already on top of the ramp. I don't know if you ninja'd the line about you posting on the first thread or I just missed it because the first sentence was an insanely dumb counter point. That's cool though. Splitting B to the flanks is still stupid, but I don't really care at this point.
You're apparently unable to grasp the concept that no single strat is perfect.
and you are clearly unable to grasp that one strat is bad and one is better. I never said it was perfect, just better. I also didn't list our full strat, because it does not simply involve running to the top to gain control.
and everything you listed as a "counter" to ramp control, was silly and easily avoided by people on top being smart, lol.
ok
Work against co-ordinated teams too, if you're co-ordinated. I'm coming from the angle of someone who queues solo though. Steamrolling a point with 2 vs 1 in terms of numbers creates such a big advantage in the early stage of the game that it's hard to ignore, if you crush them why not roll through and take their OP too? People just need to know when to break off from the conflict if it starts to become a quagmire. The vast majority of JP B pugs I've run with have their "support A/C and break for the middle" timing down to a fine art, as do I. I think the only time I've been "blocked" from the middle in the manner that's been described, we'd already won the match by a few hundred points by virtue of controlling more points. Honestly though, if you're able to camp the middle and not get smashed on control points, I question the quality of opposition. As I said, yea, sending extra ppl to the flanks works against uncoordinated teams but it's still a bad strat and easily countered in many ways.
Exactly, I come from the solo queue mold. Too long in the middle alone and you can be certain the opposing B team is fucking over your team A/C, or making a move for your Outpost. Especially with some of the death squads that roam our matches on Elemental. If you only run with premades and you're well coordinated you're going to be beating other teams either way, but no plan is guaranteed (except a party full of healers holding a post, I guess).
Your strat works well for your pre-made, on your server group. It's that simple really.and you are clearly unable to grasp that one strat is bad and one is better. I never said it was perfect, just better.
Trade secrets, I'm sure.
It's pretty obvious but w/e
Judai you need to make a Calgary Flames ASCII logo for victories
In other news, I guess some JP players found the BRD pvp range damage adjustments: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ard-and-Archer
So basically just slightly out of Quick Nock range.
This thread was insightful a few days ago, but now I think Judai is just looking for an oppurtunity to grab his e-nuts every other post and mention how he's dominating at a gimmick PVP side contest in a mediocre MMO. Seriously, we get it, you roll premades religiously and got it down to a science. Bravo. It doesn't need reiterated 4 times a day.
I'm just saying that strat is not as great as people make it out to be and was somewhat trying to help but it's cool. Then, the only person in here suggesting MND gear was Spider and basically everyone else said that was retarded. My bad if I happen to point out when people are wrong or suggest they try something else, but people really like to argue with me lately for some reason.
Don't get all salty Sep, hockey season is soon and we can hate each other plenty then.
I'm not saying "if you don't go premade (or at least semi-premade) don't bother thinking about strategy because you're not going to have any in most cases" but in the specific example of camping ramps with Blast Shot BRDs I have never seen other teams successfully "counter" it in any meaningful way. For the example of having a BLM Night Wing the BRD: okay, now what? He uses Purify and Blast Shots you anyways. You can try to Swiftcast Sleep vs his Purify (or do it first and then Night Wing 2nd) but it's generally too late at that point. It is guaranteed 1 kill, often more (record among BRDs we've been with is 5 I believe), then anybody leftover either runs away (the only smart option) or gives us more free points by killing them.
If you want to argue the merits of sending B to A or C as assist, consider the merits of having a 8-16 vs 8-16 for one base vs letting those 16 have that one base and having your 2 groups of 8 do something more productive, like cap 2-3 other flags.
This segues into an extremely retarded strategy we've seen in Primal called "zerg method" where all 24 people just go clockwise or counterclockwise around the map and bulldoze flags. This is stupid for 2 main reasons:
1) All the other teams have to do is follow in your wake because these idiots never leave a single person at their flag.
2) Because of this, zerg team only ever holds 1-2 flags at a time usually and is never in mid (or they go to mid for node and still lose because they held jack of all shit the entire game).
Maybe randoms in other data centers or times of day aren't as stupid but premade or not you can't argue with some things.
