yea, ive made words up talking to people at work a few times (to be funny or just change shit up, cause im like that) (like legiterally, comforcripple, ect lol) and ice had them say "thats not even a word what are you talking about?" when the context was even clear as day("thats legiterally the funniest thing ive heard all day" is a simple version of how id have used legiterally in a setence. its basically just saying legit and literally together, they both work, i like to assume people are intelligent enough to understand what im saying) . i usually say something like "it doesnt matter what sounds my mouth is making if youre able to clearly understand the meaning like you just did". i mean really, someones gonna tell me something isnt a word and pretend to disregard it as if i dont know and im stupid to even use it? you learn context clue skills in grade school, use them.
