Other than the crit traits and the 2 5% STR boosts from the Defender tree there really isn't much that's going to increase your damage by any significant amount beyond what the Attacker tree already gives.

People that think choco medica coding is bad haven't seen the uselessness that is free stance when it has access to both choco surge and choco guard. SE clearly didn't put much thought into the system outside of a vanity pet that can fight. They're really going to need to just overhaul it, both with the AI as well as how its stats are handled.

They could do well to make it at least scale to your own stats or some such, because < 50 dps while utilizing multiple targets for aoe attacks is just plain awful. In fact from the looks of things, it's dps is going down as it levels up and gains more abilities.

SE talked about it before ARR released but I don't know why they don't just implement a gambit feature for pets/choco so we can customize what they do.

Your choco will always do less damage in Free Stance (even if it's not healing) than it will in Attacker tho.

(it'll do more in Defender as well but Attacker has better special attacks)

I'm not sure how he managed to pull it off honestly. He says after rank 10 that training "doesn't do the % anymore", talks about how much exp he got from feeding curiel roots during training as if they give more (they're the same as krakka root) and that "Rank 20 gives 19 points instead of the 10 every other rank to 20 gave." which is just wrong, as there are people in the 17-19 range getting 11 SP, 12 SP etc.

Yep, craft up 10 full sets of 46-49 crafting gear, go to one of the 5 or 6 decent camps that aren't urth's gift. Wake up in the morning to 2-4m (other servers could be way different) of profit and several hundred thousand exp for chocobo

Speaking of camps, which ones are people using besides Urth's? I did Natalan for a bit, but it's not all that great.

Nowhere is as good as Urth's. Natalan, Boulder Downs, various points in N than and WLN all work.
