So what's the best method of getting 100 quick kills for the weekly companion challenge log entry?
Is there a low-level FATE with a particularly high number of easily-killed trash?
I just go to Urth's gift and have a party invite me. Stay there for 15 min then leave.
The chart works. Finally got to Rolanberry Red. I about threw my keyboard out the window since it looked like Regal Purple yet again, very glad I took the bird out to check the color name.
For the 100 mobs I just solo low lvl fates in Middle La. Most of them are hoards of mobs and they die in 2-3 GCDs.
If you do a few alexandrite maps per week, it's easy to cap chocobo challenge log. The cyclops + puks is pure winsauce for that. golem + bombs isn't too bad either.
If I have a book available, I'll do it while I work on those mobs. Otherwise I head to the cluster of coblyns in N. Thanalan, or the jellyfish/pirates in that tiny section west of the sahagin dailies.
The lower level Sylph area is chock full of mobs in the low 40s, near the area where the daily FATE spawns there's a nice cluster of Garlean enemies just begging to be AoEd down.
So R20 is enough to max out every tree then? Looks like you're gaining +10 skill points for the extra levels.
Morbol Green in 1shot with 13 Apple, 21 Pear, 31 Berry from base. Maybe cheaper to have done it in steps, but was nice to see it line up with the Apple = +5r-5g-5b, Pear = -5r+5g-5b, Berry = -5r-5g+5b.
Didn't get a message on the first 3 feeds or so, but the remaining ~60 all had the same message.
I think it's nothing more than a bit of harmless bragging at hitting r16 so quickly. And also an indication that the stable is filthy (0.6% exp gain from food).
Now, I'm too much of a scrooge to spend on an onion yet. Do onions grant exp when they open up the next rank?
Edit: I don't know. I'm trying to reconcile the SS with what's in the thread prior to the dyesplosion. Was there a change in the TNL from r16 to r17? I suppose my mind's too tired to make proper sense of it. Leaving my dumb statements up for learning purposes.
I remember reading that choco medica was bad. Really bad. Has it been "fixed" or any adjustments made to it? I skipped over it and distributed R10 points to attacker branch.
You have to be capped for your current Rank to make use of the onion. Being 99% done and feeding onion, even tho it still grants xp like any other training food, will not grant u next rank.
I assume it gave 0.9% of previous rank as you're not in the new rank til the onion takes effect.
Exp always caps at 0/lotsofexp. So I was capped at 0/2,942,000, fed an onion, the onion broke my cap AND gave exp at the same time.
EXP gain isn't a flat 1% in a clean stable like originally thought. R1 gives 8%, R2-4 give 2%, R5 gives 1.5%, R6-9 gives 1%, 10 gives 0.9%, and then every single rank after that loses an additional 0.05%.
So that 0.6% gain is actually in a clean stable, believe it or not. Unless they put some sort of cap on it, I'll actually start getting less exp per feeding starting at R17 which will progressively get worse.
Edit: I've been submitting all of my info here, which is an amazing chocobo info resource: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...ive_web#gid=10
