Your snapshot shows who initiated contact. It's also irrelevant. Of course the DB pushes up on a WR on the goal line. Jesus Christ. That doesn't mean the WR even attempted a route or do anything other than block. Here, try these two videos. The bottom angle is telling. If you try to attempt to fucking justify that as anything other than the WR blocking, then you're a moron or intentionally being stupid to

Idk, in that bottom video if you just watch his legs he's clearly (to me anyways, and obviously to Plow) just pressing against Prosise and not even attempting to make a play on Robinson until it's way too late.

I can certainly see it going either way, but I still think it should have been a no call since neither player really looked to have an effect on the play and Robinson being wide open was blown coverage after the other defenders bit on Fuller.

But Plow on please.

Well, he's not making a play on Robinson. And it didn't affect the play. But none that matters in context of the penalty. You're watching and commenting on the wrong player. Prosise was obviously blocking and had no intention of running a route. If you want me to argue that the PI and Prosise block would have affected the play, I won't. But there's innumerous penalties every week that have no affect on play . They still get called. Is it a shitty situation to make that call? No doubt. Is it the correct call? By rule, yes.

I'm gonna drop this because to be honest I just don't care enough and trying to defend a point Plow is making is just painful.

I completely understand both point of views on whether a penalty should have been called, but it's just a shit situation when penalty decides a game like this. I much prefer no calls on plays like this, but I'm not an NCAA official so what I say doesn't fucking matter.

The refs are in on it? Seriously? The same refs that allowed ND to convert 4th and 18 on that very same drive by not calling two blatant holding calls? Oh they must have done it to save the ACC. Here is a news flash for you--Notre Dame is also ACC affiliated. Notre Dame even uses ACC refs for their home games. Take off the tin foil hat.

Notre Dame ran the same play in the 1st quarter and scored their first TD and got no call. They got no call because they executed the play perfectly. They got called for it at the end of the game because the WRs fucked up by not attempting to run a route.

But if you think the ACC putting a video on the front page of their website "explaining the rule" but still not going so far as to actually say it was the right call is some kind of meaningful argument in your favor, you guys are even dumber than I thought.

And I love how Tyche is just repeatedly denying the rule book now.

Had the ball been thrown behind the line of scrimmage, Robinson could have legally caught the ball for a touchdown. Because Golson’s pass was beyond the line, Prosise and Fuller were making illegal contact with FSU defenders.

“In response to your inquiry,” ACC officiating supervisor Doug Rhoads told me Sunday night. “I’ve reviewed the video of the play and the call for blocking downfield was correct.”

Firstly, the page you linked in the first place, which I responded to, was a video... which you're now bitching about me "not reading."

In which they did not say it was the correct call.

So you've now made it exceedingly obvious that you didn't even watch the video you fucking linked or apparently even know what the fuck you were linking.

And, again, the ACC is cool with FSU players raping people, shooting up property and breaking shit causing thousands of dollars of damages with bb guns, and undeniably blatantly breaking the law in "handling" those situations.

Of fucking course they're going to defend the refs that keep them in the running for the NC.
