My wife went to UNC and is a huge hoops fan. She doesn't want to talk about it, lol. The silver lining is the independent investigator found no direct evidence that the chancellor or the current coaching staff has knowledge of what was happening. If Roy Williams can come away from this without any wins vacated I think she'll feel a lot better.

A lot of the sentiment I've been seeing, both from people I talk to in person and what writers are saying online, is that this kind of behavior is expected--to a certain degree--at most schools where sports bring in big money. I'm sure we've all heard the "he majored in basket weaving!" jokes. But something on this scale without much intent to disguise it, coupled with the fact that it went on for nearly 20 YEARS, is pretty shocking.

It's a hot topic down here. Even my most die hard UNC alum friends admit that this went way too far and ruins "the Carolina way" image that's been in place for so long.
