Depends how comfortable they are with mediocrity. You have the West always being a contender for the national championship, and in the East you have Mizzou coming in and winning back2back east titles. At some point you have to make a move if you want more than a 9 or 10 win season.

The bigger question is whether Slurrier WANTS to stay. Next year's prospects don't look much better than this year's (6-6 in the SEC Least). Will he put up with another rebuilding year (or 4) before he throws in the towel and retires?
