It's a dark dirt track, in low grip cars, once you initiate a corner in one of these things the only way to control your cornering is by throttle input, steering does almost nothing at that point. Besides which the revving you hear is heard from near the camera - not from the opposite side of the track. If he even saw him before corner entry I'd be surprised, he was wearing a black race suit and the light was poor, plus he's on the off side of the corner, the the drivers of oncoming cars would be looking through the corner, you wouldn't see him until quite late.

The dumbass who got killed died because he was a fucking moronic toolbag who endangered himself and other drivers.

Unless your cars on fire you stay with the car until the recovery vehicle arrives ( if its on track and you can't safely exit ).

He then not only runs towards the cars, but ONTO THE FUCKING RACING LINE.

The driver who hit him ( I'm english, don't watch nascar ) would NOT be able to avoid that accident even if he slammed on the brakes.

The sheer idiocy of it made me fucking wince before the hit even happened.

I read something earlier today that said Stewart had been involved in two other accidents with younger drivers in Sprint series races. Think they were 19 and 15? The 15 year old I remember was a girl that got a compressed spine fracture or something similar as a result.

It was the wreck last year where the driveshaft of Tony's car broke his own leg. The 19 yr old driver received a spinal injury when she got caught in the pile-up, not a direct result of Tony Stewart. The ages have nothing to do with it as that is the majority of sprint car drivers, it's where most start their career. Tony Stewart has been racing for nearly 30 years, with millions of laps across different racing platforms; so yes he will also have a multitude of accidents associated with him but none that would deem him a danger on the track.

I'm of the opposite opinion. That video alone is proof enough that the dead guy brought it on himself. You wouldn't have your career canned if you got into a mutual crash where the other guy happened to die; and this is even farther from that since the guy literally jumped in front of his car.

It looked like he was trying to use his body to get him to stop so he could yell at him. Literally raged so hard he went full retard.

Unless you've been in the driver's seat of one of these cars, you have no idea where he should have been looking, or when. These cars have some of the WORST visibility you can have in regards to vehicles used in speed contests. That is not even taking into account the amount of dirt that was on his visor. You can barely see any of your front tire when you drive these vehicles. And that is assuming optimum conditions.

Then you have people with hardly any/no clue saying, "But but.... he gunned the gas." "But he should have seen him." He gunned the gas to try and avoid the guy, you can't turn the car otherwise unless you are going EXTREMELY slow, and no he could not have seen the guy.
