I actually never really had a problem with any racers.
It's just really irritating to see so many people just be like "oh all the reasons this is a really fucked up situation are meaningless" when it comes to someone dying. And that post is more me being irritated by the idea that rich people getting off for crimes means they didn't do anything wrong than this incident directly.
The first 2 cars that pass are still at near full speed. They were on the racing line pretty much, and the inside car stays below the wrecked car easily with pretty much no adjustment. The outer car was at racing speed on almost the same line the dead guy hat taken and was able to drop down below him at the last second as his car swung around.
Every car but 1 from then until Stewart's takes the exact same low line far clear of the wreck and the dude on the track.
The one other that came on a high line didn't force him to move out of the way, because it's on a straight line into the track as opposed to up it...
Meanwhile the last you see of dude on the gif is taking several steps up the track out of the path of Stewart because he had walked too far down... and Stewart on an inexplicable upward line that almost causes him to hit the car too after hitting the dude shifts the angle by a couple more feet.
Why was Stewart pointed *up* the track towards a wreck while a dude was walking up said track?
