He's asking prior to this shield, which ones can get DEF+ as an augment. Since the post he's responding too is saying other shields with DEF+ augments get their DEF+ augments taken into account when calculating block damage absorbed.

I don't think there have been any before with +def augment... there has been one that I know of with a latent effect of higher def that worked
That's what I thought, in which case we can't say with much certainty that augmentable defense will increase the damage reduction rate of the new shield.
Another note, anyone else notice they tend to get the same boss almost every floor, even using different entry items (cape ring shield)? I've only run a few times, and all Rala, but I've seen urganite x1, dvergr x2, corse x10+. I believe in random number generator, but I'm wondering if some bosses are more likely than others. Perhaps given certain conditions, or in general.
geo in general is really good now. More so with idris. But if you fear a mob can overwhelm your melee frontline with strong attacks/magic attacks, geo-defensiv buffs/debuffs take very well care of that. Not to mention when running around a geo with a good nuke set and indi-acumen can one shot almost any mob with a tier IV nuke and indi-acumen up.
I'm glad you mentioned defense. For years people have been trying to eek out every attack at an enormous defensive cost assuming a the WHM will handle it. For example, I did skirm4 last night and we got to "jester" (or w/e you call it). Other DD (zerk, full attack gear, ect) and try to smash it. Within 30 secs of starting, they were all dead. Meanwhile I had put up hardenshell and started in PDT/MDT gear (didnt know what to expect so I usually take a defensive posture until I know what I'm dealing with). Spent the next 6 minutes or so pulling it away, and whittling it down with the help of the WHM while maintaining PDT/MDT gear and timing WS and physical casts between his TP moves.
Point being, if you arent pressed for time, go more defensive, alot of the wiping/one-shoting stuff disappears.
That just sounds like a really terrible support line. I always go with my LS and we don't go all defensive on the jester guy and hes a joke pretty much.
Jester used Chainspell on us including 2x DEATH. However it is possible to silence during chainspell and it will just kind of lock up and not do anything.
There is a Damage Taken-% augment available as well in the pool, if it hasn't been reported. I didn't have time to look over the entire augment table, but I found all of the new ones that I know of and added them to the extdata library (meaning they are now supported by gearswap). The only interesting ones were All Songs and Damage Taken-%.
The augment system that these weapons use is the largest augment system and contains a lot of crap (like OAT, STP, etc.) I'm not saying there aren't other interesting augments, but they only added higher ranges for simple values (like Attack+33-64) and some combined augments (like Attack/Acc+1-16). In case you guys are wondering, 32 is the maximum possible value that SE can represent with this augment system, so combined augments have a maximum possible value of 32 (although they may not go up that high).
Do you remember which gave dmg taken- (and not pdt or mdt) ?
I didnt get to see OAT yet, saw double attack though, triple attack might also be in the pool, who knows.

Does anyone else have a problem with losing the 10th slot item in your chests? happened to me and an LSmate yesterday - for a leaf +2 nonetheless. Was shown in the log to drop but never apeared in the chest.
