I'm pretty sure I saw a sword with refresh on it.
I'm pretty sure I saw a sword with refresh on it.
JPwiki claims that Save TP can go up to +300 on 1H weapons, but I just used a Duskslit +2 and got +80 Save TP. Either the +2 = 80-100% of the range thing is bullshit or JPwiki is bullshit.
Does anyone have proof that Save TP goes over 100 on 1H weapons, specifically Ipetam?
I can confirm that the Save TP augment does work in the offhand.
Does anyone know what causes the seemingly random damage boost the Escalents sometimes get? Usually, Escalents hit my RDM in nuking gear for ~150 per hit, but sometimes they start hitting for ~300 instead.
I always have that problem when we're doing Sword Eudemon items, but that could be random (we do a lot of Swords).
I've got over 100 a few times on sword while going for +dmg originally. Think the lowest I saw was +30, and highest was 240
What strategy/setup are people using to hit 4 floors and up? Sometimes I get overwhelmed in the first 30 seconds because I can't find escalants quickly starting at the 3rd floor.
Just run out and find them. Like before the screen even starts loading start running. Usually split up some like some go the direction of the stronghold some go the other way. If you're lucky some people got warped around randomly and can start killing right away. Also after doing it a bit you kind of get a feel for lvls and where escalants will be
After you grind the event a while you will get an idea about the maps. Boss floor is always the same. Go NW from the start to immediatly find elementals.
Some people seem to use SMN or /SMN to spam Elemental pets which will immediatly catch aggro from the malicious enemies.
GEO can do the same with Luopans.
Can use Dematerialize, Life Cycle and stuff, can give your party some very precious moments for them to get the puissance you need.
Spoiler: show
I'm guessing the size of the star is supposed to indicate comparative concentration of lementals?
damn that's a sick map, me love you long time
Talking about Rala Skirmish, I know that Each eudaemon part leads to more affinity to certain NMs.
Anybody knows which part have affinity with Mistmaw Guayota pop? (drops GSWD and Scythe)
That's not "affinity", that's a 100% thing and it's documented officially on SE's page.
I was talking about a theory I read, which makes a lot of sense from the little experience I've had with original Alluvion Skirmish (no more than 30 runs) where each part has a strong affinity with 1, maybe 2 NMs.
Any NM can virtually pop, but those 2 that have "affinity" with that Eudaemon part, will be much more likely to pop.
For example on Eudaemon Sword in Cirdas, The Golem will be on primary affinity and Behemoth on secondary affinity.
There was another part (which I can't remember now) in Rala that had Primary with Gallu and Secondary with Dvergr, another which had Primary on the Uragnite and Secondary with Gallu, and so on.
Read a post with non-definite affinity lists somewhere but I can't find it again. Was just a theory of course, but it made sense and as much as it could have been a coincidence, it fit perfectly with the little experience I had in Rala/Cirdas.
ah idk about that. In my experience everything just spawns randomly.
I don't have any extensive data, but, using nothing but swords, we encountered Mistmaw Leraje (Dvergr) five times, Mistmaw Guoyata (Corse) thrice, Mistmaw Tecciztecatl (Uragnite) twice and Mistmaw Kroni (Gallu) twice (+/-1 for everyone but the Kroni).
In Circas, excluding floors with nothing but bosses, we encountered the Mistmaw Tawhiri (Gnat-thing) at least eight times, the Mistmaw Cacus (Golem) about four times, the Mistmaw Aatxe (Bugard) once and the Mistmaw Xelhua (Behemoth) twice (+/1 for Tawhiri and Cacus)).
I think we did about five runs in Rala and eight or nine runs in Cirdas. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact numbers, but the Dvergr and the fly definitely stood out for appearing by far the most in their respective runs. Given the small amount of encounters, however, I'd hardly call this conclusive.
Well for instance yesterday we did 2x Cirdas Runs, both T3 with uh... Eudaemon Sword I think.
All of the times we only got the Golem multiple times, and the Behemoth a couple of times. Small sample I know, but those NMs seemed more "common" than other Mistmaws.
Then we did 3x Rala runs (2x T3, 1x T4) with I don't remember which part but pretty confident it was the same all the times. We got the Gallu multiple times, Dvergr like 3 times I think, and only once we got an Uragnite.
Again, very small sample, but it fits with my previous experience when Alluvion was released and with what I read in that theory (if it wasn't here on this thread then it probably was somewhere on FFXIAH or the Official forums).
I don't know what else to say, maybe it's just bias or a clunky randomizer thing that has a tendency to get stucked on something, but it made sense to me that Eudaemon part had some sort of influence over which NMs are more "common".
edit:
Read Lepetit's post. Guess it's just bias/coincidences then.
Kinda like whenever I'm around in Yorcia, rains of Yorium/Acro is all we seem to get no matter the Eudaemon we use (record was yesterday with 6 Yorium drops and 1 Acro lol, game likes to troll us it seems)
