oh yeah that's normal then no?

Think he's surprised a pink acuex dropped two wings.
That's a first for me too, I only saw them drop 3x Stones, never wings.
I don't think I've seen 2 wings but I've seen 1 before. Was kind of dissapointed
This can be greatly improved upon.
My little trick is aggroing an elemental as I head to book.
Worms will attack and kill it for you, and as long as you established hate on it via some random attack, you get points. Worms basically one shot escalents.
I'm 99% sure a bard can easily solo this, pulling a bunch of escalents to a pack of 5 worms and horde lullabying them then letting your worms go to town on them seems like it would work easily.
I think Im gonna try it out tonight actually, see how it goes. Helps that my bard has a solid DD set up to solo twithy's.
I cant guarantee this, but by the time those ele's get to you, your marshland will probably be overrun.
So did anyone notice that Escalents, despite giving xp and cap pts, dont count for monster kills? Is this cause they're ITG? Or are they just "special" in that they dont chain, and give fixed cp/xp?
Escalents don't give exp directly, people in zone just get awarded exp/cp afterward like you're opening ENM chests or something.
Yeah, I kept an eye out on that after I posted this. I would get the "you are too far away to get XP" messages, then get CP/XP
I might be wrong but I don't think any skirmish monsters count for monster kills as far as RoE quests are concerned.
Okay I need some help figuring out what I'm doing wrong.
We got to a boss floor on my pop today, and I had my pet get the last shot like normal. Except, it didn't drop anything. This happened once before when I was in a different group and used my avatar to get the last shot and they yelled at me in broken english for doing so.
Am I am idiot? The group I went with today told me to get the last shot and said the pet shouldn't have been a problem. Is there something special you have to do that I'm missing? I don't wanna keep ruining drops if I can help it.
Never tried a pet myself... I know pets are weird in there. I'd just do it as player if you are having problem with the pet
For people that handle the book in Yorcia when do you guys call it on a floor and start keying? I've done a good deal of runs as the book person and have only failed two runs but the prices on the parts and general attitude of pickups makes failed runs very unpleasant.
First time I failed, I tried too long to fight off a huge swarm of monsters that rushed the marshlands at the very start before we had a chance to get enough points to deal with them. The second time, I got spat out in a random spot on the map away from the book and I called that I wasn't near the book but no one touched it until I made my way back to it. At that point we were slowly getting overrun so I started keying but got blasted for 70% or more of my hp with a spell as I was mostly done using the key and the marshlands went shortly after.
If anyone has some tips or guidelines to deal with runs going bad I'd love to hear them.
Shit out 4-5worms, shit out a crab or colibri, shit out shijin (NEVER USE SHIELD LOL GENBU IS HORRIBLE), shit out the rest of the crabs/colibri, then rank up book and start shitting out scorps/mandies.
The only way you should ever get overrun is if you get that garbage map where the escalent pops are way behind the stronghold, and if you start getting overrun, just start popping every mob as fast as you can.
Wait, what makes Genbu horrible?
Being Genbu?
I like turtles
I like Genbu. If your group is fast enough, you can pop a Genbu, rush to rank3, spit out 5 tomes and you win. The tome's aoe is stupid strong, it'll 1-shot most of the low/middle tier enemies. Only way you can lose this way is if Genbu dies before tomes start coming out.
