Demo started out some what scary, more just jump scares imo. Turned into a headache a little bit into it.

My method of getting the three laughs:

I would walk in and stare at the clock until it hit midnight. Then you wait for the haunting noise to go away and move any direction until you hear the first laugh. After that, you must get Lisa to haunt an item (by just waiting around until she does) and then inspect it until she stops. She can haunt three items:
Mirror - Stay near the entrance to try and force her to haunt this. You'll hear distorted crying.
Phone - Not much different from the mirror. Distorted crying and such.
Radio - Static-y laughing that might occasionally say something.

I would normally yell, "FUCK YOU, BABY!" during the haunting part just in case the mic needed to hear something. After she stops haunting the item, the baby should laugh again and then you need to stop doing EVERYTHING. After a few seconds your controller will begin to vibrate. Continue to do nothing until you hear the third laugh. Phone rings, door unlocks, fin.

I've seen reports of not needing the mic(I just moved and have no idea where mine is packed) but I can't get it to work without it

How funny would it be if the entire game was basically this Pokemon Snap on rails kind of deal where all you do is look around and zoom in?

For me getting scared is simple. Something that pops out of nowhere. And we didn't got enough in the PT

but it's only a pt so nothing to worry about for now

jump scares are boring and only work so many times

atmosphere, tension, and paranoia is where it's at

I think the demo had a great combination of creepy/tenseful scary and jump scares. I haven't been this excited about a Silent Hill in a LONG time.

Went back to see if I can finish the demo as I was stuck in the red hallway. I am now stuck on the final phase and I cannot for the life of my get out of it (That's the real scare stuck in the demo). I've read a ton of methods on how to get the 3 baby laughs needed and tried them all. Mic, no mic, optionals completed, just waiting it out... nothing works. I sat there for literally 3 hours with my gf and bro but we could not get past it. I got 2 laughs then nothing after that. Frustrating as all hell.

P.T., the brilliant playable trailer for Silent Hills, continues to deservedly attract obsessive study. One of the demo's mysteries is a radio transmission in a foreign language. If these fans are correct, it's in Swedish, and seems to make a major revelation about the game.

According to the article the radio drama War of the Worlds aired 75 years ago. This would make for a very interesting game. Del Toro doing aliens.

That's what I read. You're controller vibrates (which it did) so I stopped, literally put the controller down and waited but nothing happened. =/

Well, not an official confirmation, but it does look pretty likely that silent hills will make its way to pc! so excited!
