the gym is close - an easy bike ride - but the return ride is uphill and usually into the wind too. this'll just have to be part of the exercise
i swam more today and did it a little easier than the other day. i've never had swimming lessons and figure i could learn a thing or two from a class. do i need gear or is it cool to just standout as noobie? most everyone else has headgear and goggles
i'm gonna be doing lots more laundry huh. might need to buy a few more towels
get goggles, get a cap, learn to circle swim.
I took adult swimming lessons and it was awesome. Definitely embarrassing at first but 5 minutes in and it was nbd.
also fucking shower before you swim.
Weigh-in day, down around 2.5lbs from where I started 3 weeks ago. Seeing some progress feels pretty good, being under 195 for the first time all year feels even better.
Today was week 3 of foundations class with my trainer. If the old saying about taking three weeks to form a habit rings true, I will have developed a good habit for a change. Today we focused on functional mobility and squats. So RIP my quads for the rest of the weekend. Oh well!
Leg days are the absolute worst but I can promise you from experience it does get better as your muscles get used to being worked.

@Starby , what exercises do you do with the slant boards? Dorsiflexion , supination , and pronation? I think I think I could use better functional pronation across a bunch of movements like pedal stroke, running, and even squat movements. Cycling seems to make my knees want to track inward but it’s probably from VMO being over active.
Today was my first “cheat day” and I didn’t really cheat *that* much. I had a banana for breakfast and then for my lunch/dinner one big meal I made a big pot of jambalaya shredded chicken & rice. In the grand scheme of things it’s not a particularly bad meal but I just made a LOT and pigged out. Not planning on eating anything else until tomorrow morning anyway. Felt really good lol
Down 11 pounds total since starting let’s gooooo
God what the absolute fuck, up from 194.6 to 196.7 from this week to last. I was under 2000 calories every single day and under 1700 for most of them.
Forgot to empty your pockets or poop first?
Mix of walk/jog/sprint got me a sub 20 minute mile pace on the treadmill, pretty excite
Today was first day on the treadmill where I started to feel like my previous sprint pace could now be my jog pace
Down 13 pounds total
I am up 3lbs from where I was 2 weeks ago and I'm pretty sure my body just hates me and hates the thought of me accomplishing anything.
