Face of a winner, congrats! Keep at it, running is a lot of fun.
Was thinking about just sticking with the bike after I injured myself once again, but thanks to COVID, my foot had enough time to recover, apparently. Hope so at least.
Anoat you are my inspiration brother
great job homie!
Awesome! Big congrats man.
Kick ass congrats man
After walking around Disney the last two days wearing a race medal and the amount of total strangers that have told me congrats, way to go, you rock etc. Look I am not saying I condone the behavior but I definitely see the appeal for all those stolen valor dudes lmao
FUCKIN GRAVY SEAL OVER HERE
Almost time to start adding morning cardio back in to get those double days. Gonna miss the post 9PM gaming.
shifting to 5/6 days a week is fucking exhausting me. my legs are getting much much stronger though. cycling is still the worst. i'm consistently doing at least 7-8 miles on the bike and then 2 miles on the treadmill doing 4m walk -> 1m run intervals.
my most creative bad idea is 2 mile on the bike at 70% then one round of a ski workout I do on flat ground, repeat until dead.
Are you monitoring heart rate during your workouts? I find doing more volume at lower intensity yields better results. I still fit in some 5 minute efforts at vo2max and some 20 minute sweet spot but most of my time is around z2.
I usually do 60-90 minutes at around 140 bpms for me. Once that same power/pace dips below 140bpm average I bump it up 5-10% next week.
Mentally those z2 effort are easier to be more consistent everyday if you are at the middle of z2 vs the top of z2.
It’s pretty bleh weather today so tried a home workout routine for the first time using exercises stolen from my trainers, only equipment I used was two 20lbs dumbbells and a chair & mat. Two super sets each of six different exercises for about 50 minutes playing some shitty workout playlist on YouTube. Felt good but doesn’t match the vibe of being in a real gym with other people. I never could have done this shit during COVID lockdowns.
Covid and home workouts were miserable. Glad I found my little speakeasy gym then. Also probably when a lot of young males were radicalized and thrown onto the alt-right pipeline
I'm still using the home setup I used during covid lockdowns. It's a combination squat, pullup, bench, and deadlift station.
