I haven't lifted since July 3rd. Doing stronglifts 5x5, when I lift today should I start at same weight I already did or increase 5lbs as per usual? I feel like the squats may be difficult.

Stronglifts recommends dropping 10% when you haven't lifted in two weeks, otherwise you will be in serious pain tomorrow
Thank you
finally started running steps again. I hate running, but I love steps - high-impact, get-in-get-out-get-fit type of deal. plus my bad shoulder can't deal with long runs, but stairs are no problem.
up to 1,000 steps... back when I got in shape the first time I was over 2,000 on a really good day, so I've got a ways to go.
next steps (no pun intended) in the get fit program: start doing upper body exercises, and get back on the healthy food train. one thing at a time though. if I've learned ANYTHING about healthy living, it's that the transition from unhealthy to healthy is best done slowly but steadily, and without pressuring yourself to be too perfect.
I'll tell you, being single and wanting to get laid/get a boyfriend is such a powerful motivator... lol
Only motivator!
Edit: So I've been changing my diet and workout routine since what I've been doing for the last few months haven't made any changes. I've talked to a guy at my gym and he's given me a few new exercise routines to do for 4 days of the week, but I'm drawing a blank for what I should do for the 5th day. I'm trying to build muscle now and my previous days have been:
1: Chest/triceps
2: Back/biceps
3: ???
4: Shoulders
5: Legs
If I can get some suggestions I would appreciate it.
Wanting sex, what a weird world.
Spoiler: show
Oh okay. I don't have a day where I work out abs yet anyway. Also, what's the average amount of time to start progressing to higher weights?
Are there any particular exercises I should be doing for abs? Cause normally I just do crunches, both normal and machine ones.
Dunno i haven't done abs in 2 years... just do cable crunches, weighted decline russian twists and planks.
Alright, thanks a ton!
Twists, weighted crunches, side bends, and landmine 180s.
Archer Pushups and Gymnasts dips are two things I've been doing lately and I really feel them a lot. This video shows them and a few others.
What's the most frequently I could/should workout specific muscle groups?
I tend to have high energy, and can do multiple groups in one trip without losing focus or getting lazy/fatigued. Once a week each doesn't feel like enough, especially on biceps/triceps/chest/forearms. Only issue I have is occasional joint pain in my left shoulder (joint) and elbow (nerve), but it's very sporadic and doesn't present itself very often.
I can go pretty much any day Monday-Friday... Saturday is tougher because I need to squeeze it in before work, and I'm usually too busy on Sunday.
Mostly looking to add muscle.
Just finished my first month of Camp Gladiator. Holy cow the trainers work you hard.
48-72 hours with working a muscle group 2-3 times a week (3 is kinda pushing it depending on fatigue levels but doable. Def no more than 3 days a week)
Seconding what CS said.
Listen to your body as well. If you're still feeling really soar and having difficulty using the muscle group, you of course should give it a bit more time (whether or not it's past 48-72+ hours since the last workout).
My body is a stupid fuck monkey i will never listen to it. Deads erry night.
Also barbell hip thrusts and DB pullovers are amazing.
