I'm doing a cut, should I eat the same macros and calories everyday or should I increase them on lift days?

    I lift 3x a week.

Less amount on non-lifting days. Maintenance amount on lifting days if you want to "slow cut".

Alright, think you guys can help me out a little with some meal plan tips or w/e?

I weigh like 185 just came off dropping about 20-25 lbs eating low carb, want to lift bigger things so I want to bring carbs back but still drop a little more weight to look a bit better.

Did maths, maintenance comes out to about 2470, was looking at a 600 calorie cut for just over 1lb/week lost which is 1870 Cal.

@1.4-1.5g/lb protein I get around 275g protein. Rounded 25% remaining cals to ~467cals fat or 52g ish, with remaining 76g ish to carbs.

Would these macros be on lift days only, or rest days, or both, or do I need more calories than this on lift days or less on rest days?

Also what should I be looking at for breakfasts, and should it change on lift days? Lunch and dinner are easy to figure out but breakfast confuses me. I know to consume some carbs pre and post workout, but I've read things saying breakfast only and none rest of the day, and all kinds of other info. Literally every website and article I read has entirely different numbers and advice.

So back in the day when I was in shape I'd do a bit of pull/chin ups and just general climbing around at the bars at the playground near my house. Not really anything like that close and not a fan of gyms so was looking into some home chin up bars but being in a small apartment I can't really do a wall mount or a large piece of a equipment. Only really alternative I saw was some interesting looking door frame mounted ones. So anyone have any experience with them or know of other alternatives?

Depends on the strength of construction of the area above the door header that the bar presses against. Most apartments it is just drywall and you'd punch a hole right through

    Find a used power tower

Hmmm hadn't thought of that since most say they work fine... I am in a shitty apartment so that might be more of a concern for me.

Looked up Power towers seem fairly reasonably priced even new but that space issue unless they have decent ones that fold up decently... maybe I can convince the boss to let me store one at work and can do a few during breaks lol.

I bought this lil nigga for like 30$ or w/e only to realize it didn't fit on a single door in my house because they were all near the very corner of the rooms. Had to use it on my garage door, would mail it to you if i still have it somewhere.

It def won't be punching holes in your walls, only possible problem I could see is if your framing was already loose and you started doing heavy weighted pull ups.

Many moons ago when I worked a shitty retail job, I had a few returns for that reason. Now there is a 90% chance they were retarded and didn't "install" it properly but that was their complaint.

Whelp thanks for the tips guys. Hmmm that corner door thing wasn't something I had thought about and might end up being the deciding factor... unless it works on the front door then I guess I could just beast mode it in front of my neighbors

I have a small apartment with non-standard sized doors and no door frames that are thick enough for me to feel comfortable putting up a pull-up bar, so although it's a little pricey, I bought this for my living room around Christmas:

    http://trapezerigging.com/products/e...ble-pullup-bar

To save space in my living room, I put it over the end of the treadmill on my walking desk and it's been great. The default setting is a little tall for me (5'5") but the bar height is also adjustable; the pole height can be adjusted when you order it as well if you have a room with a lower ceiling. I haven't needed to take it apart and use it elsewhere other than the living room, but assembly/disassembly is a piece of cake. It's just a little unstable (front-to-back movement, not side-to-side to the point where it feels like it's going to tip over; the stabilizing bar certainly helps), but I haven't felt unsafe at all and I've had no problems with it whatsoever. I'm tempted to try rings on it, but I'm really not sure it's stable enough for that though.

Not cheap, but it was great investment for me.

    Progress update time I guess.

Now at 160ish lbs (I was at 230 lbs at my worst 3 years ago). I'm not even trying to lose weight anymore and I have to eat at least 2500-3000 cal a day to not lose any weight.

For the lulz I tried to put on that shirt again from 2011: https://bucket.bluegartr.com/1355bd5...a73b9d113f.jpg

    2016: https://bucket.bluegartr.com/8af4bd3...db97d3cae9.png

But there's no way I can wear size 40 pants ever again.

Question for those that have lost significant weight:

Did you notice your ribcage shrinking in size? I've struggled with a disproportionately large chest to the rest of my body for a long while and it drives me nuts (note: I don't have manboobs, I'm talking actual ribcage). Shirts are almost always snug around my chest and tend to billow down around my stomach, and it makes my side profile look HUGE, even when I'm not. I'm hoping that as I start cutting I'll see my chest diminish in circumference so I have a more normal physique.

Anyone have an experience with this?

No, bone structure and all that will remain the same. That was the hand genetics dealt you.

Really the worst thing would be if your hips eliminated a chance at a V taper.

FNH has it. May want to consider having some shirts darted to deal with the billowing shirt problem as it's also very much a thing for those with a v-taper and developed chest/back.
