Soooooo I had been suffering tremendously these last couple of months (almost a year) due to a fucking knee injury. However, about 3 weeks ago I started to take Fish Oil/Omega3s and shockingly I felt an improvement. It's so fucking weird because I got used to the pain and now it doesn't hurt. And of course, I prolly jinxed it and ama fuck up my knee again. Anyway, can anybody chime in w/ a similar case where omega 3s seemed to help w/ injuries? I've read many claims but none are FDA/medical evaluated. So yeah.
placebo effect
Not necessarily. Fish Oil has anti-inflammatory properties. Hence why he's feeling better. You would have to take quite a bit to get significant relief, but it does help. It's part of the reason fish oil is so good for your heart.
It makes your burps fucking godawful.
Get better fish oil pills then.
Enteric fish oil does a pretty good job of getting rid of the skank burp/taste but can reduce the absorption rate in your stomach. Personally I swapped to the fish oil gummies and had zero problems. Downside is the dosage is weak so I'm having to shovel a whole mouthful to get a decent amount which doesn't really make it cost effective but I really hated the burps.

Pretty fun site for all supps.
Damn. That's a pretty good website. Thanks for that.
I use Krill oil and yeah no burps or weird after taste
Just don't take that if you're allergic to shellfish (for obviously reasons).
Dietary recommendations and nutrition plans are outside the scope of practice for personal trainers (legally, only register dietitians can give that information), but we can always make suggestions.
There's a limited number of things I suggest to clients to take, but I always offer fish oil, a multivitamin (with extra iron and folic acid for females), and some form of protein powder. But that's about it.
You mean you don't suggest the D?
Sweet, thanks guise~

Well I guess this guy just desperately needed space in his garage. I got a full set of Olympic plates (2 of each: 45, 35, 25, 10, 5, 2.5); a non Olympic curl bar, and over 200 lbs of non non olympic plates for $50
He was trying to get me to take the bench and Olympic bar as well, but I simply don't have room for it (I have a power rack in my garage and already have 2 Olympic bars. He had me help him carry the bench out the to the curb and he said he's putting it on craiglist as first come first serve for free
ayyyyyyyyy
You lucky bastard
Got me back in the gym. No excuses anymore.
Saw that, too. Definitely motivated me to stop putting off the gym. Went the last two days and really had a great workout yesterday.
Getting used to the new gym (Chuze to YMCA) and it's not the best but it'll do.
