Look at miss Maria "Fuck You, Gov. Nixon" Chapelle Nadal rounding people up to run.... for justice? Bum-rush training, it seems.

A guide to evading and escaping police dogs / officers!
Unarmed people are still dangerous. There's over a dozen examples of Deadly Force without a weapon. We're taught this in the Academy, and it's upheld by the law. The Supreme Court has ruled that no one can replicate the perception of the officer without actually physically being in the same exact body, feeling the exact same emotions the officer is feeling at the time of the incident. Since that is impossible, it's up to the officer to accurately replicate that perception to the review board.
It's easy to backup your work when you're doing it on a device that allows you to do so. It's not so easy when you're standing face to face with someone who's trying to kill you. I don't think there's an easy way to say "You have to experience it" before you'll understand it, but that's the reality of it.
I won't tell you how to do your job; that's your field and that's your domain. Without an understanding of the intricacies of the job, I will essentially be pitting my knowledge of your job against an expert. You think you may know about mine, and a lot of people think they know what they're talking about. It sounds good to chat about it, but until you do it, you actually have no idea what to expect.
There's no basis for this. A report was done, a homicide investigation is still pending. Just because Wilson did not do an official report, does not mean statements weren't taken and a report wasn't written.
Monumentally stupid idea here...Originally Posted by Gokku

Why doesn't it make sense? And I'm not even saying he bum rushed the cop, I'm saying he may have moved towards the cop. If the cop perceived him as a threat, pretty sure moving towards the cop at that point means you're getting shot. It doesn't make sense that he didn't get on the ground immediately if he was indeed surrendering. He obviously knew the cop had a gun out...
I would also like to point out the average person can cover a distance of 21 feet in about 1.5 seconds.

Yo get that science outta here.
Even if found guilty of -something-, if it isn't actually murder I'm staying the hell away from that state =/
Well, remember Oscar recently got cleared of murder. It's gonna blow everyone's mind once they find Darren Wilson guilty of something other than murder. Would be surprised they'll be able to secure a judgment given how tainted everyone's view of this is.
How many years did Oscar get?
Hasn't been sentenced yet. October is sentencing.
Anonymous plans on fucking up the Rams fooseball game. Threats about hacking CC's, team websites, and anything else associated with the game.

Shit if Mythbusters says it's true who am I to argue.Mythbusters covered the drill in the 2012 episode "Duel Dilemmas". At 20 feet the gun wielder was able to shoot the charging knife attacker just as he reached the shooter. At shorter distances the knife wielder was always able to stab prior to being shot.
Did they factor wind resistance from the assailant holding his hands up? Too many variables, cop must be guilty of murder.
I've taken some courses to see what my proficiency would be and I gotta say, I need to do it more often. I just don't have the time anymore to do it...
I would love to have more components to our regiment that would be practical for the scenario's we encounter. It's never "Stand square, squeeze off two". It's always: lay down on your side and fire up at a 45 degree angle, or fall backwards on your ass while shooting at an advancing target less than 5 feet away, or double pass to the inside while you draw and fire across your center with one hand while your head is jerking backwards to avoid the shooter putting the barrel under your chin.
Our course is more comprehensive than shooting in the Army. Engagements in the military are outside of the spontaneous reaction zone, while 90% of engagements in Law Enforcement will be within your reactionary gap. We still shoot 5-20 yard drills and standard draw/fire drills on a open course with little CQC engagement other than Party City.
A fairly crunchy article regarding the report production issues.

Liberal propaganda bro. There are Systems in place that you don't know about working behind the scenes that follow very strict guidelines on reporting every incident. Law enforcement is 100% infallible. They do everything by the book.
Just so happens the book is like some goddamn rorshach...
