It's been almost two full months though. A week or two and I can forgive the excuses in favor of "getting things done right", but two freaking months?

I studied the law for four months in the academy and have been a police officer going on 12 years now and I still don't know everything about the law. These people have to learn all the aspects of it and learn to correctly apply all aspects of it in a short amount of time that normally takes judges and magistrates decades to achieve. It's not an easy task.
My prediction is they deadlock and they have to retry and it happens all over again.
100's marched through STL city tonight, the police escalated things again and attempted to kettle them on a different street; most people saying they had as much, if not more, police ever since protests began. More blatant intimidation tactics used here: 20-30 police lined-up, blocking all 4 lanes of traffic 20-30mins before march even arrived at the intersection, all banging their batons on their shields in-rhythm while they waited. SWAT truck was also there from the beginning and began barking commands to disperse after protestors were trapped on both sides.
Everyone moved to the sidewalks and began marching towards the other end that was blocked, police all followed along side in cars and on foot, a total clusterfuck of cars and riot gear lurching up the street. SWAT truck started patronizing protestors saying shit like "You're doing such a great job, keep it up." while they marched along sidewalk. When they reached the other end where another 20+ police in riot gear were stationed, they flipped the march and began going back.... police were stuck for awhile trying to u-turn 10-20 cop cars and the truck.
tl;dl: police wasted more fucktons of money by antagonizing peaceful protests, no arrests were made.
Why, Bob, why?

That's the first bit of shocking news reversal I have encountered since this whole thing started.
Even larger police force used tonight, lots of fucked-up shit went down when protestors marched to a quick trip for a sit-in. Chief's twitter account tweeting blatant lies to justify unnecessary use of batons, pepper spray, and a few people + Tim Pool claiming tear gas, as well.
The police basically preyed on their movements all night, setting up a full-stop blockade on all the streets leading into the location of Vonderrit's memorial. They preformed ID checks on both cars and people on foot. With about a 100 out of the thousand or so that were initially together at the Ferguson PD, protestors marched towards the QT and simply sat down. 100's of police surrounded the station, banging batons loud, then issuing commands of dispersal.
Batons were used on those that linked arms, pepper spray swept over everyone indiscriminately, and the Chief's twitter was immediately tweeting about rocks being thrown and protestors ready to "storm" the QT. Reb Z was pepper sprayed again tonight, Bella's driver was targeted, and they gave a wink/nod comment to her while being detained for no reason.
Cops had cameraman on scene, let's see if they can produce footage of these guys tossing rocks while seated, or the "storm" that chief reported. All of the regular Ferguson frontliners say "nah"
edit: Confirmed, so far, 14 arrested and ambulances were needed
update: while writing this, it looks like a large police force is still out in the streets, following what remains of the protestors...

It's easy to offer sideline commentary, while adding absolutely zero value to any of the conversation. I made a simple error in copy-pasta'ing an unverified report, that was hardly a jump in the level of corruption witnessed so far, if you've been keeping up with the whole Gov. Nixon/Roodra relationship.
Allow me to point you to this Sunshine blues medley to compliment your Sunday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuYrhZxHGPs
2000-3000 Protestors + Cornell West have flooded STLU
http://www.ustream.tv/z?utm_campaign...20141012223644
They are staging a sit-in at the university now.
Lot's of shit got shutdown today, FPD, 2 Walmarts, a shopping plaza, City Hall, and now they're in and outside the Ram's stadium for MNF.
Atleast 49 arrested; lot's of frontline members, clergy, legal observers, local artist Tef Poe, Cornell West, an SLU professor....
Surprised this hasn't been posted yet: Cornel West Arrested In Ferguson
Author and activist Cornel West was arrested while demonstrating in Ferguson, Missouri, on Monday.
West was in Ferguson as part of the "Ferguson October" rally, which has been attended by over 1,000 protesters.
Obviously, however, the majority of the arrests came earlier today at the FPD when the clergy gathered in the parking lot and attempted to push their blockade and enter to speak with the Chief of Police. It was a typical showing of civil disobedience and they were all prepared to be arrested. Cornell got hit with 3rd degree assault and disturbing the peace charges lol Everyone has been released from the FPD arrests.
Add a 3rd Walmart, a QT shut down, then they hit a Casino for a quick message.... possibly 4th Walmart and a second Casino as of this moment... Lot's of quality use of 100's of police and untold taxpayer dollars going towards chasing peaceful protestors.
Peaceful protesters (peacefully) harassing businesses trying to earn money. Should I feel bad for them being arrested while they disrupt businesses? If they call the police to escort the trespassers off, should the police say no? I don't get what your qualms are.
They protest, by the hundreds apparently, and expect to be arrested...and they are. Of course it requires over 100 police to arrest them...there's so many of them.
HAHAHAHAHA
Your fucking "I HATE DA POPO" goggles are so fucking thick. The fact you say these people shut down a bunch of stores, businesses (even if walmart is evil) with their protests, then call them "peaceful". HAHAHA oh god, fucking rich.
