No but seriously now that I'm out of class, I recognize how things need to change, but that doesn't excuse people from lying to help facilitate the decision they want. Why is it bad to call that out?

It's not even "oh, maybe I'm wrong but this is what I remember"; there are apparently people testifying to a grand jury that this is what they saw evidence be damned. And people were complaining that they took too long in this process? =/

This is not how a normal GJ hearing is handled. This wasn't a criminal trial to convict Mike-errr, Darren Wilson. 12 fucking witnesses is normally 11 too many for a prosecutor to call up and make the case to go to trial. You have conflicting witness accounts? That sounds like a good enough reason to let the courts decide who is lying and who is telling the truth.

either way, it is easy to understand why the rioting is happening. black people i know and respect legitimately believe their lives to not matter and I don't think it is crazy for them to feel that way.

You need to empathize. The actions aren't designed to show who is better or who is not. They're an emotional response to a perceived injustice. It's not a matter of vengeance. It's no different than a toddler trashing his toys because his brother took them away.

Either way, point stands. You don't get special riot rights for being oppressed. If there is a disparity in how media treats riots by black people vs white people then we should be trying to change that, not try to justify the riots from either side.

sadly, according to a bunch of shit i've read and have in no way verified. 59 of 61 arrested were not from Ferguson, white dudes were burning the police cars, and the police accidentally set fire to the wallgreens. so we've got a whole mixed bag of awful shit happening that is all going to be heaped on to the blax being blax narrative and everyone is just going to continue to shame them for being upset that it is okay to murder an unarmed person from 150 feet away as long as they are black.

hopefully macklemore will write a song about this so white people will finally care and then he can steal more awards from king kendrick
