Shoplifting is strong arm robbery?
Shoplifting is strong arm robbery?
http://www.answers.com/Q/What_is_strong_arm_robbery
Clerk confronted MB, and he shoved him out of the way. Once MB got physical with the clerk, it was no longer shoplifting.Strong-arm robbery is a term used to describe a situation where the offender uses or threatens to use his or her fists, feet, hands, or teeth to deprive the victim of their personal possessions and/or money. Muggings and other robberies are included in this type of robbery when no weapons other than hands, feet, etc. are used to commit the act.
In cases of purse-snatching or pocket-picking, if the victim does not resist, it is classified as larceny-theft. If the victim resists and force or threat of force is used, it is classified as strong arm robbery. For example, If a woman is shoved to the ground in the act of stealing her purse, it a strong-arm robbery. If the thief snatches her purse off her shoulder and runs off, it is larceny-theft.
Disregarding regurgitated racist talking points. That shit is practically spam, at this stage.
What the hell is a nerf bullet? Never heard that used before, maybe a rubber bullet? They aim those shits at peoples heads now?
Also, I didn't see if this was updated, but the black cop who batoned an unruly white guy, consoles him at his office, and takes him home after hugging it out is now charged with a felony. Damn, too bad he couldn't get Bobby the GJ wizard to help him out.

They were sequestered for service months before this case, and it just happened to be part of their docket when it went to Grand Jury. They heard hundreds of cases before this (which I love that people aren't mentioning this and are saying Grand Jury proceeding like this are rare hahaha).
Every one? EVERY one? There you go making those blanket statements again, when clearly, it's definitely not the case.

You're basing your statement off of what I've always said: The loudest voices in the room are the ones calling foul. It doesn't really matter. Unless Wilson was found guilty, it didn't matter what type of trial it was, which is why this whole thing is stupid.
I like how his entire argument is about firing on a fleeing suspect (which is true, it's no longer a law in Missouri), but the evidence and the witness accounts disproved this. Why does it surprise me that he cherry picked a small portion of the law? Because he's a media idiot. Additionally, the entire law presented at the Grand Jury is not unconstitutional and is still on the books in Missouri. Some of the language was changed, which is the purpose of SCOTUS rulings so that laws can be changed, abolished, or upgraded.
Should have left no witnesses
Next, Neph is going to explain to us in expert detail why 538's GJ stats are misleading and why it's just a conspiracy that police are never indicted.
edit: I would like to invite any lurkers on here, who may possibly feel confused by Neph's narrative that flies in the face of all that is factual, to read this article by the Nation, which breaks things down much more eloquently than any of us who may not have the time to go tit-for-tat and reference specifics based on MO law and etc. http://www.thenation.com/article/190...ble-indict-cop
It's hard, but not impossible. Know why? Not every person the police kill is unjustified. Sorry to burst your agenda. Yes, Graham V. Connor and the ruling that allows police to use Objective Reasonableness gives the police a lot of leeway in Use of Force. It's impossible to keep it black and white. That would be dictation of every single move a person does in a given setting, which is not what it means to be a human. Police Officers are not robots. Perceptions change and vary from person to person. Know what they used to judge Police use of force before 1968 when Graham V Connor was ruled? Nothing. Because no one said shit about the abuses of the police, and if you're old enough to remember what it was like before, you'll know what I'm talking about.
Would I consider what happened to Darren Wilson Deadly Force? Asking you that question, you'd overwhelmingly say "No". You still cannot discount that person's perceptions, which is why sometimes, people don't get charged in the killing of Police Officers.
It's factually incorrect that it's impossible to indict a police officer, because there's literally hundreds of examples of police officers being indicted by a grand jury. Just keep feeding in to the propaganda, bum, and cycling to clickbait media without reading the fucking article. If you just Google the damn names they mention as examples of police getting jail time, you'll see they went through the criminal justice system and were INDICTED ON CHARGES! HOLY JEESUS!!!
Man... You're an infuriating person.
How the hell is that article clickbait? Or 538's? Police have been indicted in the past? What a revelation. When you ignore the statistics, that sounds like everything must be fair and balanced if some police actually got hit with jail time. Disregard our concerns about corruption, collusion, and the 2-tiered justice system in America.
In other news this morning, DW supporter rally in Ferguson are getting their own personal police escort.

And disregard the fact that the entire case was doctored from the start to sway public opinion in to starting a riot, for no reason other than misunderstood and ill-conceived notions of discord without any solid or concrete facts to back them up. The hypocrisy of it all. Both of Brown's parents and their supporters from the very beginning were out for blood, and Wilson kept quiet the whole time. Shows who's the bigger man in it all, especially after they both "encouraged" peace so hard, then it all fell apart in an instant. The shame of it all.
Why wouldn't they? Brown supporters showed what they're capable of day 1.
Time to move on to the next cop drama !
Yeah, this thread is pretty much done. Now that the NYT leaked Wilson's address, he's skipping town. We'll never see him again.
The NYT reporters who had their personal addresses leaked, however... Let's just say police support doesn't extend to instigators. Same goes for Brown's parents and the other radicals who tried to blow up the bridge in Ferguson and kill cops.
Stay class NY Times. I think someone should reveal the address of the "reporter" who did this.

Sorta related Slate posted a picture of the house no invasion of privacy none at all...

I know right: the way they doctored that use of imagery of MB's body laying in the open for 4.5hrs, the way they brought attack dogs to prevent those from mourning his death, the way they fabricated claims of media insisting the release of unrelated convenience store footage, the way they lied about the distance in which MB was executed from the SUV, the way they presented no records of an incident report and hid DW from the public, deleted sensitive emails, the way they allowed an amateur reporter be the voice of the police and intentionally leak sensitive or outright fabricated evidence all the way until the end.... all of this happening while residents got treated like animals and indiscriminately bombed them and the media with chemical agents. This shit was setup from day one, you're right about that Neph.
And NO, this thread isn't dead, just because Fox News declares a victory. You only wish the movement were dead, unbeknownst to you, however, the protests have only gained momentum, and will continue to gain momentum as the police maintain their status quo of executing unarmed black folks and ramping up their presence in Ferguson. You must have also conveniently forgotten the war being waged in STL vs the media and civil rights attorneys. They shouldn't have anything to worry about though, right?
We not going to talk about the 12yo who was shot and killed in pretty much a police driveby or the 20something killed in a walmart talking on the phone holding a toy gun which can be bought in the store...
It has no bearing. It's not a victory that Darren Wilson wasn't charged, and you won't see me lording it over people saying "Na na na boo boo!"
Have your rights movements and do whatever you want. I'll continue, and all of the police officers in the country will continue to do their jobs, just as they always have. The forensics and the truth came out and proved that Michael Brown wasn't executed. Keep stamping your feet and claiming otherwise. We're better than that. And let it be known that if it was the case that Darren Wilson executed Michael Brown, we would have been happy to slap the cuffs on him and haul him off to jail. We police our own, and you're powerless in that regard.
Well, like the Michael Brown case, all the facts of the 12 year old's death hasn't been presented. The only thing we have that's "concrete" is a shitty video that the only thing you can really see is he actually has the "gun" in his hand. So again, holding judgement until the investigation is over.
With the John Crawford case, it's again under investigation, but the good thing out of that case is that at least discussions on training protocols for the police are ongoing, and the civil suit has caused the DOJ to examine the tactics. That's actually positive news, and is the way things should be handled, and not spurning more violence and destruction.
