Two men indicted last week on federal weapons charges allegedly had plans to bomb the Gateway Arch — and to kill St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch and Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson — the Post-Dispatch has learned.
Sources close to the investigation were uncertain whether the men had the capability to carry out the plans, although the two allegedly did buy what they thought was a pipe bomb in an undercover law enforcement sting.
The men wanted to acquire two more bombs, the sources said, but could not afford to do it until one suspect’s girlfriend’s Electronic Benefit Transfer card was replenished.
lol
they should have just robbed a bank, amirite?
Would every one feel better if DW went to trail and was found not guilty? Because with the evidence and lack of credible witness testimony the dude was going to walk any ways.
Or are people actually trying to create the illusion that he would be in jail if this went to trial?
Huh? Uh... Thanks.
Most, if not all, of those accounts were disproven. Have you not read any of the documents? The witnesses lied. It's something I said from the beginning. Hell, some of them admitted it to the FBI that they lied! The forensics proved he ran back towards Wilson.
Is any of that not clear? They lied. The star witnesses who claimed this was an execution lied, admitted that they did it because "That's what I assumed happend", and people fabricated the story and ran with it enticing violence where other people have been hurt and killed. Where's the charges against Dorian Johnson and the other assholes who lied to police for false reporting and false swearing? Where's the counter suit against Brown's family and the others for defamation of character? Where's the justice for Wilson, who is innocent in the eyes of the law?
He should be publicly executed by Al Sharpton !
The argument from what I've read of the documents was, basically, "Here is the forensic evidence, and here is the story we're going to tell that matches up with it, thus making all this witness testimony unreliable". Forensic evidence exists in a vacuum, people still have to tell their interpretation of events. That's why Mike Brown had three autopsies in the first place.
Not to say some of them didn't lie/exaggerate; but let's not act like the prosecution doesn't have its own narrative too ("you tend to remember more through a couple sleep cycles").
Glad to see the narrative taking shape on Tamir Rice already on how he deserved it too. Guess it's open season on black teens.
-edit-
"It's not worth figuring out if the system will fail" is a very different message than "The system failed." You come to those two conclusions very differently.
The rage would probably be the same.
He never had to be severely injured, he just had to be in fear for his life. Hes alone, with backup coming soon, and a 300 pound man just tried to grab his gun and almost succeeded. It is possible DW was fearful for his life.
Indeed it is possible. And that's why these laws are supposed to say things like "reasonable belief". The real question is whether his belief was reasonable enough to justify killing someone. At this point I'm inclined to say no, but that's mostly because of my bias against cops.
Quite frankly, I don't know what is fact and what is made-up bullshit in this case anymore. I can't trust the forensics when they have bullshit like "I didn't take pictures of the fucking corpse because my batteries died that day." Like are you fucking kidding me? And then the attention-seeking fuckwits who literally make shit up about witnessing the shooting when they weren't even there. Fuck everything, and fuck everyone. Humanity is doomed.
I'm sorry, where is the fingerprint test showing that Brown's fingerprints were on the gun/holster? Oh right, they didn't do one. Did they even present the results of the DNA test to the grand jury? Any blood spatter from Wilson shooting Brown in the hand doesn't tell us anything conclusive about whether Brown was grabbing for the gun.
Consistent with the forensics they provided is weak by itself. Lots of things are consistent with the forensics provided, including a lot of things backing up the narrative that Brown was trying to flee/surrender, but the prosecutors didn't press Wilson on those details because they didn't want to.
I'm seeing a lot of people take stuff that either McCulloch stated or that they're seeing just posted wherever, and instead of weighing that in totality, are just willing to accept it without actually comparing it to the actual evidence / testimony provided. Which, again, is why there really should have been a trial where this stuff could have been scrutinized to a much higher degree. It would have been in Wilson's best interests too, because while you'd still have people arguing over the case, a lot of the flaws in the grand jury presentation being pointed out now would have been dealt with through the trial process.
It's the same reason so many people have problems with the FISA court process. When you have secret trials and secret laws and no adversarial process, the system is not being applied equally to all citizens.

While you're enjoying your turkey today, don't forget @bassem_masri is eating bologna sandwiches with $15,000 bond. http://www.gofundme.com/freebassem
That's fucked-up. Got that dude locked-up on 15k bond for driving without a license (and was arrested as a passenger)? Two of the young Ferguson frontline female fighters, Alexis and Britney were also front and center on that FBI plot-foiling bomb threat article, which I didn't see initially. Took them awhile to issue private apologies and change the image. Christine Byers, the police's reporter/slanderer/propagandist strikes again!
