All of the evidence and testimony is contradictory to the charges. I can't see much of it being used to indict without seriously chopping it all up. I can't really see what can be used to show PC of a crime. For one, does Wilson qualify for immunity so he can't be charged? Another thing to consider is most of the evidence points away from guilt, so how do you swing it if the Grand Jury asks for the forensics? A lot of the testimony is flawed and disproven to be accurate by the forensics. How do you keep that from coming out?

Hard to say in this instance. There's too many variables for it to be a safe indictment.

Remember that time when the FBI shot the Boston bomber's friend to death?

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/03/25/justic...ooting-boston/

"Oh no, he has the long metal handle of a broom! Better shoot him!"

Don't worry. I'm sure there's no endemic corruption.

I'm still not understanding why people are ignoring the contusions to the back of his head, where the occipital gland is and can easily make you go unconcious if struck hard enough.

Because the back of his head doesn't look like there's any sort of significant trauma.

You're right about the occipital gland, but he's much more likely to be put in danger by being struck in the temporal area.

Of course, where he said he was struck... Just doesn't look like he was hit there very hard.

Now, it does seem plausible he was struck near the zygomatic process, which could throw off his equilibrium long enough to FEEL like he's in danger.

But beaten within an inch of his life? Nope.

You'd be surprised on how much pain you don't feel during an activation of the SNS. Gunshot wounds, stab wounds, broken bones, all of that can take time to realize you're injured. Happens to subjects all the time. When we take them to jail, we're required to photograph every injury, even if it's incurred previously. You'd be surprised what type of condition some of these people are in.

Had a guy once who kept scratching his neck a lot after we arrested him for DV. Thought he was a tweaker, so I ignored him until I saw he was literally sccratching a bloody hole in his neck. The injury? Broken tip of a knife lodged in the back of his neck. Never even said it hurt and never noticed the blood.

Actually, you would be surprised to find out that all but 1 or 2 of the 800,000 LEOs in America never lie. If they lied, they would tell you they lied.

Or he didn't remember, or the injuries really did ring his bell enough to make him partially go unconscious, or one of the FOP detectives beat him in the hospital room to make it look like he was punched, or they used makeup to puff the back of his head up to make it look swollen, need I go on? There's a million scenarios I can run through. He was at least attacked, so there's no lie there.

Meh, I got jumped once years ago and had a pool stick broken across my back. Didn't know till someone brought the broken cue stick to the cop and they asked me to lift up my shirt where I had 2-3 welts across my back.

can confirm when you're jacked to high hell on adrenaline and your nervous system is spazing out it's common to not notice minor/moderate injuries or have no idea of the severity of more substantial ones -source- ten years of kickboxing and boxing and bjj. seen dudes fight on with fractured hands and torn ligaments and things broken in their faces and only fully process it after the fight. imagine the reaction (or lack thereof) is even more pronounced in traumatic, unplanned life-and-death scenarios

That is true, but it's not possible for epinephrine to mask the physical injury. Facial fractures don't magically go away.

I think a lot of that was the circlejerk started by the police and St. Louis jackasses.

That's the problem with most politicians and people in power. They'll condemn the people starting shit and enticing without all the facts, then turn around and do the same damn thing. Law Enforcement isn't any different, but the catch to that is you won't see street beat officers doing shit like that, it's usually someone high in the ranks who has some type of political pull or agenda, or they're trying to save their own ass.
