Whoever leaked that should probably go into Snowden style hiding if they havent already, cause, yeah, I'm pretty sure whenever the LAPD figure out who that is, it wont be pretty.
That video was terrible not in tune.
Apparently, the video that has been circulating in some variations makes it seem like everyone there was singing, when actually, it was one guy who was not affiliated with the LAPD who was singing. There's an article on it.

TL;DR sensationalist media trying to stir up shit. No cops were involved in this garbage.
The cycle of this thread.
1) Someone post a clearly shit stiring link, is believed word for word
2) Someone posts another link debunking/debating it, is instantly a racist cop cover up no one believes.
Welcome to the cycle of humanity my friends, where the only thing people want is conflict! Now I'm sure someone will mention not believing every link posted or that its naive to think it can't be a cover up, like the one Neph posted, unaware of the irony they believe every article they post as the undisputed word of god.
Though the singing a long bit... hmm.
Also dude who wrote/sung the song, clearly a moron, wonder how he didn't know this was going to happen >>
Don't think i've seen this specific article in the thread yet but there are alot of pages to go through.

I don't think it has, unless I mistook a link for that retired police captain from Philly, who has similar tales/views. Great read.
So the only way the cops are involved in this is if they sang along? It's not that that guy was there in the first place to perform? It's not that no one stopped the song?
It's kinda like if the cops would stop killing blacks and just beat them... Though that would be a huge improvement
But then they would be alive to testify against the police in court. Clearly that's unacceptable.
Come on man, it's not even the fact that people are singing along or not. Are you telling me a party room that had any number of cops in there and no one had a second thought to stop the music at all? You can't say they aren't [EX] Cops in there at the party. It's done in poor taste. Regardless of the fact, it's every bit as bad as any number of rap songs that have lyrics about killing cops.
The guy was there for a retirement party for an old partner. You don't know what went on before or during any of that party. Stop reaching.Originally Posted by Mazmaz

I thought it was pretty funny, actually. Distasteful and sick, but funny. Then again, there was 6 shootings in D.C. last night and someone died, so I could use a bit of humor right now while people are actively trying to kill police officers.
This can either go really bad or is going to get completely ignored.

I also saw a video of a cop rally earlier and the fact that people were essentially insisting that cops not being able to freely practice police brutality means no law enforcement at all made me unsure on whether to laugh or be horrified.
Whoever put out that statement backed off the "wartime" rhetoric pretty quickly, but it's clear that there's a segment of the police union that didn't like de Blasio when he came into office and has yet another reason to dislike him even more now. They're also in the middle of contract negotations, so that undoubtedly is going to be a factor in their stance toward the mayor's office.
At a time when there are still a lot people who generally support the hard work and risks that police undertake, even when some of them do bad things, the last thing they want to do is undermine that support by pulling some irresponsible stunt as part of a political war with de Blasio.
Just saying, but linking freethoughtproject.com in an anti-cop thread is like linking jezebel.com in the feminism thread, they both have a very distinct audience they try to appeal to and will spin things around and/or embellish to make something look much much worse than it is.
This is an anti-cop thread now? I thought it was an anti-police brutality thread. Are you proposing that they are one and the same?
In other news the Ferguson Police department decided that calling the Mike Brown memorial a pile of garbage was a good idea.
