This student was significantly injured when St. Ann police took him into custody. One major problem; he committed no crime and was not the man police were looking for. He was mistaken for someone else. Happens all the time. And I know being in my position, it happens to be something that I hate as part of the job, but it's not perfect and I'll admit when I'm wrong (just as in this instance). Your comment:

Is pretty inflammatory and edgy. You've been stopped before as part of a mistaken identity case I'm sure. Guess what? So I have I. I've even been cuffed after they found out I was a cop. Wasn't until later I found out how much I did look like the guy they were after.

Additionally, read the article that says he totaled his car. Skeptical if all of his injuries are just from being taken in to custody? Yeah. "He was trying to help them?" How?

What sterotype? I said more people will distrust them. If you think otherwise, you haven't been alive very long.
All I'm sayin' is this is gonna reinforce bad things in a lot of people's minds. Ferguson and New York (and other not quite so high profile cases) weren't that long ago lest you forget. :)

In those cases, they are individual cases of discrimination, not reverse racism.
