Haven't heard any follow-up on that last post about someone killed in STL, but there is a new developing story now about the interim mayor of Kinloch, MO being beaten-up and arrested by officers after calling in a burglary near her home...

When you resist or fight with the police, chances are you'll get hurt. That's why I like Tasers. Takes all the fight out of them and leaves minimal damage.

When you tell jokes like that about things like domestic violence or rape, you are unwittingly condoning those things. You might not be the type of person to engage in that type of behavior, but someone among you actually might be, and by hearing someone joke about it and brush it off as "humor," that person is validated in their belief that it's a normal and perfectly okay thing to do and to laugh about.
