Some people simply can't go home. There were many shots on FOX, VICE and CNN of people who were shouting at the police that their homes was in such and such direction, but the police shooed them away because the blocked off the area.

I had not heard that. That's different if they are stopping people who really do want to go home.

What I was saying was that if you want to stay out on the streets and protest it's not going to accomplish anything at this point.

It was probably mentioned earlier today in the thread but some residents claimed they were tear gassed by their homes last night after media were effectively blacked out for the rest of the night.

It won't. Most people have an extreme viewpoint that they feel violated if they are forced to go home, even at late night. They are still peaceful, but very stubborn. It then gets to the point where they can't go home because something goes down concerning the rioters and they have to block off the area to catch the suspects. People should have went home by 9-10 PM, now they have to fend for themselves until the sweeps are done.

I can only imagine how high the costs will be to restore order and clean up the mess that these people and cops have caused. It's gonna go into the 10s of millions.
