I listened to the song do we have justice yet ?
God I wish I could show the DHS email just sent out about anonymous and the Nationwide Day of Rage. Fucking FOUO
I got around to watching the person with a knife get shot and it brings up a few questions in my mind. Why were the police going to him? if it was them being alerted via dispatch because of the knife then why didn't police get dispatched with at least some basic knife resistant armour? All that swat gear on them at night and there's none in the trunk?
I'm "impressed" with how fast the police swarmed over the area but there's something that I have a huge problem with right there in the aftermath. The police were focused on removing people from the area and made absolutely NO EFFORT to get information from or ask for future statements from eyewitnesses. The cops do have the right to defend themselves but more blanks need to be filled in. The cameraman is practically yelling out the he has it on video and there's no attempt to even ask for a copy.
If the knife was clearly visible before they left the car then why the fuck did they get out of it so that him charging could "require" a lethal response?
Hindsight is 20/20 but if I can figure these things out within 30 seconds of watching the incident then trained individuals who had time in advance to try and defuse the situation should have at least done something to prepare that doesn't result in gunshots as the first option. The guy holding the camera said it was over a bunch of sodas. So if they knew the main had robbed a store at knifepoint(as one theory concerning why police came to him that I can think of) why did they not prepare for that?
Millions of dollars of equipment is pointed at citizens every night so far and none of that can safely disable one man with a knife or thought of as something to be used?
The girl singing in the background of that song needs to make a full version of that national anthem satire she's doing.

*sigh*
My favorite part:
And then FOX just keeps on saying "source" but will not name who.... the selective release of sensitive information is very troubling
oh lemme just go to the knife resistant armor store while he potentially stabs some more people
Being skeptical is ok but lol
Yep. They definitely captured the spirit in that one.
Where do they keep it every night? Are only attempts at peaceful protest considered dangerous enough to warrant swat gear?
Brings up the question I already had of why the fuck get out of the car so that they could be stabbed? Given how many police swarmed within minutes why didn't the first two cops distract/stall him for a bit and attempt to peacefully diffuse the situation while the rest of that massive police presence found their nonlethal weaponry they have been using the shit out of every night.
Your comment about wait for more people to get stabbed makes it seem like he was some sort of stabbing ninja on a rampage.
He was calmly and deliberately walking around and not attacking anyone. No people screaming in terror, blood/people on the ground or anything. Yes this guy was looking for a fight but they had the advantage of being able to prepare and they did not use it at all.
I'm not saying these cops should be tried for murder or anything. I just think their training is clearly shit if they walk into a situation like that with no forethought.
I hesitate to use cracked as a source but http://www.cracked.com/article_21524...me-for_p2.html is surprisingly relevant. Going in guns blazing instead of talking from the safety of their car was just plain and simply a bad move
Yeah sorry no sympathy for the retard with the knife.
Very easy to criticize a cop for not risking his life to save the life of someone who has nothing to lose from your computer chair.
Now ya'll just reaching.
I'm sure it'll look better if the guy went on a stabbing spree and the cops were just chilling in their crusier. Gtfoh
I do agree with him in some ways. I watched a spree of SbC videos on YouTube and in most every one the cops attempted to defuse the situation first. They don't seem to do that anymore.
This one is different. He was clearly approaching them and clearly wanted to die. What were they supposed to do, get back in their car and drive away?
The only retarded part was when they cuffed him.
I don't think the cops did anything in particular wrong in shooting the guy with the knife. I think all of that is sidetracking from the actual issues going on.
Someones legit blaming the cops for not doing more about the knife guy?
Didnt they say something like "Drop your weapon and get down on your knees, stop approaching us, drop the weapon or we will open fire, stop" and ultimately opened fire when he was within striking range?
You do realize a vest is just that, a vest? Your arms and lower body are all still exposed. From what i've seen and read, they followed standard training. If you advance towards an officer with a weapon and refuse to drop it, you are going to get shot and killed.
As for talking from the safety of their car, you really think they are going to stay 20 feet away, yelling from the window. Especially with other people around that can become potential victims? In this case here, please take your straw man and set it on fire, and toss it away. You are making yourself look really dumb with how you are reaching on this one. If you want to bash cops for anything, the ones in ferguson are giving you plenty of reasons to bash for lack of training. The suicide by cop was by the book as far as how you respond to someone with a weapon advancing on you.
I would also have to agree. THAT type of confrontation happens quite frequently. It's well established that if there is a weapon wielding person within proximity of armed officers, behaving in a threatening manner, and not following orders, they will get clapped.
Don't matter if you're black or white.

They obviously spent the non lethal weapons budget on that Ferguson sound machine instead of tazers.
Surely this man will manage to stab all the people a good 50 feet not near him on the video when the cops show up. Clearly he was waiting to transform into some sort of black Norman Bates.
.
I did not say I blame the cops or all cops as others are claiming. I did not claim racism or that this was anything other than the guy with a knife committing suicide by cop. I asked why the fuck is it so easy to do that? Thousands of years since the invention of the knife and these guys don't have any nonlethal means to put him down? Why did they get close enough for him to be able to just walk within "lethal range"? Millions of dollars in nonlethal gear got poured into that community and it's not allowed to be used before sunset? Police respond to a person with a knife and all they have to bring is a lethal response weapon?
Why is asking a question hoping to get a possible answer met with such vitriol and the immediate misrepresentation of the dead man? He was mentally ill and committed suicide via cop. He doesn't NEED your help being presented as having done the wrong thing. There is no need to turn him into a person on a homicidal killing spree.
While i may have questioned their decision making process I did not at any point say they were wrong for defending themselves. stop inferring crap I didn't say.
