It's part of why I hate the 2nd arc of the show.
lol
Seems like there are so many hilarious translation fuckups in the game. Will probably buy this some time soon but man, who the fuck did the translation.
As fun as Hollow Fragment is, it really needs to go back to English class. The game is full of weird quotes like "Would not doing other thing else and focus and attacking be better?" or "Never heroize if it's dangerous,". When it's not butchering the language, SAO is still filled with embarrassing typos. It's clear this game was likely localized in Japan, with very little oversight from Bandai Namco's US operation.
I fixed my spoiler of your spoiler of the spoilers.
@samalis: I heard the review version of the game isn't the same translation as the official version. Something about the review copy is the same as the Chinese version with really odd translation issues. Or "Engrish" as we call it.
When I get home I'll let you guys know. I doubt the grammar will be perfect but hopefully it's not as bad as some of the screens people had of the chinese version.
I think the level cap was also increased by 50 (200-250), in SoA: HF.
The English is OK, not engrish levels but not amazing.
I have finished the tutorial area, have gone through all the scenes once back in town, and have started exploring. Outside of one punctuation error and one negligible grammar error I have seen nothing wrong with the translation so far.
The game is a blast so far even if they kind of just dump you in the deep end in regards to skills and battle.
I think we both noticed the punctuation error LOL.
It's not the awful engrish levels of bad. There's a couple grammatical errors and so forth. I've gotten a bit farther than the tutorial and starter areas. Some oddities.
Did see a person named Mina in-game. Took a SS of her walking around town. :X
I like how Leafa has her hands over her chest the entire time. Truly the best grill.
worth playing for someone who hasn't watched the anime? or would I be better off watching it first. up in the air about this or toukiden atm
I'd watch the first season arc before playing it. Only like 14 eps.
Yeah definitely need to watch it. You get a recap video after you do the first area, but like 2 hours in I have no fucking idea what's going on.
After 14 episodes there's a few characters who I have not seen that are in the game. I think episode 14 is still a good stopping point because...

Also, if you start the game married, why does this game have dating sim stuff in it?
And yet they still want that dick
Split this off from the Vita thread.
I've heard that the Hollow portion of the game is definitely the "complete first".
Also I've died several times due to my own miscalculations. Is anyone else using weapons other than dual wield? Or planning on it?
