IM ON FIRE
Oakland and Washington ruining Elims all season. Snyder truly has received Al Davis's full power
The Seahawks dropping games to the Boys and Rams fucked up alot of people too.
Yeah. Looks like Week 8's Washington upset of Dallas caused the most chaos -- 12 people had it picked.
An interesting Eliminator tie breaker to me would be "most wins by remaining unpicked teams" or something like that. Not only would you be trying to pick winners, you'd be trying to pick the worst winners.
Because clearly this game isn't hard enough.
I took the Bungles the week they tied, so after that, I can't get mad at anything.
Spaghetti won the College Pick Em, Azazael won NFL Pick Em by one game over Moss, and I defended my Eliminator title via both the BG and standard ESPN tiebreakers.
Well, we ended up 14th on the Eliminator group board. Pretty good. I'm impressed with the #1 group, which averaged 14.85 correct picks over 126 members. By comparison, we averaged 12.65 points with 23 members. Only three of our members beat their average. Ten of their 126 members had a perfect season. Man, it would suck to have a perfect season and still finish 10th.

Never played Fantasy Foootball.
1.) With this Gridiron playoff challenge, do we get to make new picks every week?
2.) What does the D mean? Team you expect to win that week? or win it all?
I made picks but changed them because most of them arent playing this week so I wouldnt get points, but i don't want to be stuck with them for entire playoffs.
D = defense
You get to make new picks after the wild card round, and the divisional round, but not after the conference championship games. So you can swap around after this week and next, but when you pick for the championship games, you're going to want to take into account that half of the available players will only accrue points for one week, and the other half of the players will get two weeks. Generally, the strategy there is to pick the players on teams that you think are likely to go to the Super Bowl (i.e. two weeks of Russell Wilson is probably better than one week of Aaron Rodgers, but one week of Aaron Rodgers is probably better than one week of Russell Wilson).
The D is the team defense. The defense scores points based on different criteria than the offense -- generally speaking: turnovers, sacks, defensive TD's, safeties, points allowed. This particular setup actually does award 5 points for a team win, although that's not a typical fantasy setup.Originally Posted by Adajer

This is the correct strategy. Don't pick players that aren't playing this week. You can pick new ones next week. Although, if they are already on your team this week, any salary adjustments upwards won't be charged to your cap. But that's been a pretty minor concern in past years, unless adjustments are much greater this year than they have been in the past.Originally Posted by Adajer
