Just saw a screening tonight. The first half dragged a little but overall it was good, not great.
Gonna say same thing. Good but not great. Still enjoyable but I felt like the story was too simple and setup took bit too long.
Could have probably been a bit shorter but I still enjoyed it.

Shit, now that you mention it...
Spoiler: show
Obviously y'all need to see it in 70mm. It's supposed to be a whole nother experience. Btw, BvS has also announced that they'll also have a 70mm showing.
Fffffff this doesn't come out here until Jan. 7 ㅠㅠ Running my own little Tarantino marathon at home until then. Can't wait.
So there is always a discussion about where Tarantino's films fit in his two universes and it appears this one belongs in the "real" world universe as...

Also, this movie started out as a sequel to Django.
saw this and revenant from screeners floating around, got my fill of killing in blizzards for a while. both were pretty good, but i don't think 8 was my favorite tarantino film.
This movie was fucked.
The scene between Samuel Jackson and Bruce Dern was rough. Like holy shit what a set up for that. Little comments here and there left clues to what was coming but jesus. Best part of all you never know if the story was really true or just a way to provoke the response.
Also loved how Channing Tatum went out. Fuck you GI Joe lol
Saw it in Burbank last night. This was a great movie, but not Quentin's greatest. The only really off-putting thing was when he suddenly started narrating, otherwise outstanding performances from the entire cast. Great direction, great score, nice little who-dunnit/murder mystery/confined space story. I bet he wanted to write something like this for a long time.
In the theater there were folks who brought kids maybe as young as 9 years old to see this, lots of other preteen aged kids too. Girlfriend and I were late, forced to sit near the front aisle, and got to give a lotta WTF looks at their parents as they dragged out their crying kids. Idiots. Can't imagine how they're explaining the Dern/Jackson scene to them.
Fucked up parenting on their part to take 9 year olds to a Tarantino movie.
x3, though I was getting a bit impatient with so much setup.
Didn't like the narration bit, took me out of the experience. It did feel like Reservoir Dogs. While I did like the addition of Greg Nicotero to do SFX, idk why Tarantino feels the needs to up the amount of blood and gore with each film.
It was a good watch, but I couldn't be arsed to sit through it again if given the choice.
Heh. I see it as studios stepping up their CGI game and Tarantino saying fuck that noise, just add more blood for the same effect. Oddly enough, it kinda works for me.
Went to a 70mm showing. This is the first movie I've ever been to where there was an actual intermission while the reels were changed. I paid a premium, $20 a piece, but I felt it was worth it.
