Well much to my horror, I just found out winamp is dead. Can't download it from the official site anymore and this makes me sad. What's a good MP3 player out there that is not named ITunes or Microsoft Media Player?

VLC works for almost every form of media.
MPCHC+madVR if you want to nerd it out and follow a fairly long setup for maximum clarity and whatnot: https://imouto.my/madvr/
most of the stuff in the tutorial is extra, I never followed the whole process before. I'm not that savvy when it comes to some of that stuff lol
Foobar2000 if you're looking for just MP3/audio.
second for foobar2000. May not look super fancy, but can handle most audio formats out of the box and has a shitload of plugins to add more formats and functions.
I've saved the latest build of winamp (lite?) prior to the site dying. If it's ok with Ragns I can upload it to BGbox. Foobar is also good, I just like the look of Winamp. Otherwise, VLC/MPC also handles audio perfectly.
Personally I use MPC for video and Jriver Media Center (paid) for my audio, but can definitely throw a vote in for Foobar2000.
Right now until they finish rebranding it, you can find Winamp on FileHippo.(Someone bought them out and it's taking a long time for them to rip out all the AOL-code. Let them do that right please. So it's not dead, yet. Just sleeping!) But yeah, if you don't want to resort to that, musicbee or foobar.
I still use Winamp for anything music-y that I don't play though Spotify, and the CCCP/Media Player Classic/WMP/VLC for my video files. Never liked using Winamp for that; Winamp was made for music, not videos ^^.
Looks like Foobar2000 is the winner. Thanks everyone.
NP. BTW, Winamp should be full back by the beginning of next year at the latest, according to the latest news so hopefully the (rebranded) version will be worth coming back to (and kicking some llama butt) soon enough. ^^
If you want something that was really similar to winamp, try http://www.aimp2.us/
It's what I ended up using for just a great, light, simple mp3 player.
