I'd like to point out Sony's hilariously terribad hypocrisy in branding their next-gen console as "DRM-free" and not requiring "always online" when everything that isn't a disc can't be played when PSN is down, even shit they have no input on (XIV). And this is coming from someone who's never owned an Xbox-anything in his life.

Like, not even demos can be played right now. Demos. During a PSN outage. You almost have to try to be that fucking retarded when developing a console to accomplish that.

1) You said that everything that isn't on a disc can't be played. This is false. Plenty of reports from multiple users saying otherwise. Unless you have more than 1 guy on GameFAQs who openly admitted that the problem is most likely on his end.

A user not being able to access a digital game he legitimately purchased while PSN is down is a new restriction.

They didn't impose any new restrictions. Nothing different from what is already in place.

It's not like I'm making it up. Whatever the restriction is, a lot of people can't play offline, digital games while PSN is down for whatever reason.
