I was just coming to post that. I kept reading about that when people were talking about the transfer process but glossing over it.
My only concern is with the MH4U already on the 4GB stock microSD in the LE. So I do the transfer, telling it that I am already using a microSD in my 3DS. I opt to 'Transfer via PC' still, correct? Then the profile stuff, friends list, DSiWare titles, etc. all get moved via Wi-Fi. Then I get prompted to finish the transfer by removing my Micro and putting it into my n3DS. So I assume I do all of this with just the 4GB stock MicroCard in the n3DS right, and because I have transferred my NNID and all the profile stuff over it has merged on the n3DS system? So MH4U can be redownloaded once I switch Micros?
Does that make sense?

Find what situation suits you best
So in my case that curently has a 3ds XL With SD card 32gb and will upgrade to New 3ds XL with 32 Micro SD
1) I already transfered my SD card data to my PC, then from the PC to my Micro SD
2) I put my Micro SD (with the adapter in my 3ds XL and will just put my micro SD after the transfer in my New XL (by following this
So i will click no at that step of the transfer
What is really important
When you get ANY new Console 3ds, 3DS XL, 2DS or new 3ds XL and plan to transfer to THAT console, DO NOT SIGN IN WITH YOUR NNID ON THE NEW SYSTEM UNTIL THE TRANSFER IS DONE. IF YOU DO YOU WILL NEED TO FORMAT THE NEW SYSTEM AND START ANEW.
For those who get the MH4U LE, transfer like if it was any system, and you will be able to redownload the game after the transfer is done (but i heard it's 2.7gig in size)
Ah, perfect. Thanks Rata!
That Capcom link was exactly what I needed. I am just going to transfer my content to my microSD tonight and toss it in an adapter and back into my XL. As for MH4U being 2.7 gigs... well I will have the CE physical cart too, so if I can't be bothered to DL the game until I am forced to stop playing... there's always that. =P
Another thing (yes i'm annoying but hoping it helps)
Some games (like Majora's mask) supports Digital Preorder
You just go on this site
US : http://www.nintendo.com/games/game-g...te|-|-|-|-|-|1
Canada : http://www.nintendo.com/en_CA/eshop/buy-digital
Please note, If you buy on the website you cannot use Eshop money if you already have some on the 3ds
3-4 days before release they will send you a code by email to predownload the game
Either enter the code on the 3ds Eshop or here
https://id.nintendo.net/oauth/author...te=if-needed#/
And log in with your NNID, maybe 10-20min after the game will start downloading on your 3ds (might have to start manually from 3ds Eshop)
And on the release date you will have a mini update to do that will 'unlock' the game. But it's a good way to pass possible Eshop rush for big games (sadly MH4U is not preorderable)
I guess I should have added that IF I play my physical copy, I will just use the Save Data Transfer Tool to pull my save from the cart to use in the digital version. I have used that before for a couple games that I ended up switching to digital on and it couldn't be easier. I wasn't implying I would be switching back and forth though, just going from physical to digital once.
still not getting the point of buying an amiibo
Transferred my 16GB SD to 32GB microDS. Took all of 11 minutes and is working fine. Thanks for mentioning that Rata. Now I will have much less to worry about when I transfer. I wonder if it would be a good idea to delete some of my screenshots. No idea how much space those take up in system memory... at least I assume they are in system memory?
EDIT: Ha, well shit. Just checked and they are all on the SD card. Perfect!
yes. it transfers over your Nintendo Network ID basically.
Yeah the files I just copied now, and the files you would be copying via PC are the actual digital titles, photos you have on SD card, saves, etc. The two consoles will transfer settings, NNID, layout, themes, music and photos you have saved in system storage, friend list, mii stuff, etc. While that can take a little while depending on how much your profile and system has in it... it wouldn't take nearly as long as it would to transfer my 9-10GBs of stuff via Wi-Fi. Eff that.
I bet, considering the shit network adapters in consoles and the 1.0 3ds models.
Yeah, reading impressions from importers, I have seen it take 10+ hours for larger cards lol. Sometimes it even tosses in an error code 80% of the way through! No. I feel horrible for anyone that decides to/has to do it that way.
FUCK why are we not next week yet
what new SD are people buying? A good and fast one thats 32gb?
bough this one
http://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-MicroSD...ndisk+micro+sd
Comes with the adapter, so I can use it in my current 3ds atm
