New Nintendo 3DS: Now with Improved 2DS Functionality

Got up at quarter to 4, went out to Walmart (opens at 6) in single-digit temperatures. I was the only one there, and got to wait in my car. When 6 AM finally came, went in, herpaderp we don't have any New 3DSes yet.

Drove over to Target at 6:30ish (opens at 8), there was one other guy there and he got out of his car as I pulled up, so we both stood out in the cold for an hour and a half. In the end, we had seven people in line. There were two MM3DSes, and I got the second one. :fistpump:

I'm still watching that GameStop listing because I want the Skull Kid statue.

Been sitting outside Target in Washington since about 5am, managed to snag one barely. Dude showed up an hour before opening and ended up shoving 3 of us out of the way, ran to the electronics department, and snatched one.

That's scummy as fuck. I was standing outside with 4 other people. Two were parents who were there for their kids. At 7:45 some dude comes outside and hands out tickets and explains that he didn't want a situation that you just described to occur ie people bum rushing electronics as soon as the doors open. My experience was great other than the sub 10 degree temperature.

lol, did you start your data transfer Rata? I did mine over Wi-Fi, the New 3DS had pikmin carrying the data from the old 3DS to the new one, was Adorable lol

The Wii-to-WiiU transfer did this as well, FYI.

At ebgames today I arrive there #4, not biggie I got my preorder, near 8h30 there's about 20 people, and the manager send a little girl (she's weight max 120pounds and she's timid as fuck) to explain the situation.

So she's like, ok everyone we only have 1 console left for walk in and it's a New 3DS black, so if you do not have a preorder for a New 3ds sorry but you are out of luck. So ofcourse lots of people starts whining and yelling at the poor girl, who just ran back in the store to protect herself lol.

Anyway after all the ruckus out of 20 we were 2 left lol

No I bought it on amazon.ca from Japan Import, should arrive between March 5 and 16

What worries me atm is that my Crystal Case just left Richmond

2nd problem I have no idea where becuase there's a Richmond in BC and one in Ontario

So I have to be extra careful with the console, the gloss is precious!

Didn't get one and have no interest in the plain ones, so I'm just gonna wait it out until a new LE design comes out that I would want. Didn't even want the MM one I wanted the MH4U design. Might want to police the online ordering then, I've heard from a lot of people saying they ordered and then canceled on the MH4U unit, and it seems to be in larger supply.

Damn all my gamestops are out of new 3ds and tomorrow is the last day for old 3ds trade in (at the value they're doing). Hopefully they'll work with me like let me trade in now and get the next shipment. I don't care about new 3ds day 1. I can wait. But I do care about being able to trade in my Xl for 100 and my regular for 75

If you have trouble finding a new 3ds, try Toys R Us, one I just swung by had a ton in stock while every Gamestop/Best Buy in the area was sold out.

No special editions but like 10+ of each color.

So anyone have problem with their new console? mine is fine, but I heard alot of people complaining about Dead pixel, Touch screen not responding and other stuff. Which suprise me since Nintendo usually have great day 1 consoles

Probably no different than the regular failure rate, except that most of the Day 1 buyers post on the Internet.

That actually doesn't look too horrible. Honesty if they made one for the new 3ds for Monster Hunter I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Especially if it was a matte finish instead of glossy, I hate how my 3ds gets all gross cause I'm a disgusting greasy human.
