So, if you went in to a GameStop yesterday to get the MM New 3DS and got confirmation emails you should get your ass in there immediately. They will have to take your payment information in store. If it says the order is cancelled or closed the GS has to call a hotline with their store and employee number and speak to a rep and then have you give the rep your payment info. The rep I spoke to over the phone said by the end of the day all orders will be filled/sold out.

They also said they are trying to get more units, though.

It was my first time trying to get something like this from them, but I can say it was not a fun experience. Both today and yesterday I spent almost an hour in-store to get this straightened out.

Been dissapointed with Amazon lately. No majora mask 3ds, never get release day shipping hardly for nintendo games, and they didn't get any of the type-0 CEs while bestbuy and Ebgames did. Amazon better start stepping up their game

Off topic but weren't the Type 0 CEs exclusive to the SE shop like all the other SE limited editions as of late(KH2, Lightning Returns, Theathrythm, etc)

I wouldn't have paid $100 for a used one, Target's been selling through their inventory since before Christmas with sales of new 3DSXLs for $150 (2 out of last 4 weeks at least).

You wouldn't, but I sold a standard color XL last month for $140 on craigslist. Could sell some of the special edition ones for upwards of 170 on eBay. You underestimate how many idiots there are on the internet

Meh, Idk. $100 trade in credit isnt that bad. Probably be hard pressed to find someone willing to pay $150 for an xl. I don't like using CL much either. Ebay has most listings around $100. AND ebay takes 10% of your sale, THEN they take another dip into your sale for using paypal, which you have to use.

If I could transfer with just my SD card and not need my old system, I probably would trade mine in.

It's insanely idiotic that they aren't releasing the regular n3DS, just going to hang onto my XL until I know for sure Nintendo honors the games I already bought and I can transfer them over to the new model, if it's just your game saves.. fuck that shit lol, I am not losing my library.

It isnt anything new, nintendo has been doing that forever.

only releasing certain color Gameboy pockets, colors, ds, advance, advance sp. pretty much every handheld they restricted certain models to release in NA.

This one makes more sense because most people, including myself will only buy the XL version anyway, NA have larger hands and bigger legs (fat asses) forbigger jeans to fit in pockets than JP.

But this regular version os not exactly the same as the old regular, even in size. Plus the cover plates are something a lot of people were definitely interested in. I dunno, I feel bad for US and thankful that Europe does get it.

Don't get me wrong, the screen is fantastic and all but in terms of portability the entire handheld itself is just... awful for that. A new and improved regular sized model would have been very nice. This is unacceptable, the fucking DS and DSi's were all even smaller and sold the best. So I have no fucking clue what gives, Nintendo of America is moronic.

I do think it is retarded to cut out the entire cover plate market in NA. They should have made them available for the XL versions too.

idc for the cover plates either tho. The MH4 models looks sweet aesthetically. I really like the silver, dont care much for the MH4 print all on it though. I'll be snagging the regular black model. Really wish they would make a forest green, i know that will never happen, basic red blue black and specical edit silver/gold will only get released in NA.

When the XL came out, GameStop had a similar trade in deal with the regular 3DS. My gMestop allowed me to buy the XL, take it home, transfer all my games, then bring the XL back for a "return" and apply the trade in. It may be less worth it if you live far from your store, but it worked out well for me.
