Was playing on an alt today, ran around all day with GM flag and speed, used noclip several times.
Was perfectly fine.
I always have the Tako map open on my third screen because I use it like ApRadar.
Went to alt tab and click something in chrome, ended up accidentally hitting the map and teleported across the zone.
Banned 20 seconds later.
Not enough samples to say that pos warping will get you an auto ban, but from my experiences, it seems that way to me.

Yeah seriously on my old computer I literally never logged out except when forced out when server went down. This isn't rmt behavior this is normal lazy human behavior. Rmts would actually be doing something during that time (or at least leeching). My play time is over 5 years and that's with several month long absences. My main has never gotten so much as a warning. Most people I know including very casual vanilla players just don't generally log out. Now I suspect this might be different in countries where electricity is expensive like say Germany but that's not everyone

Sometimes I have to wonder if you guys even pay attention past the first sentence or two. Being logged in continuously for long periods of time won't get you banned, I've said this many times, but if you've done other things that are suspicious then it can result in the STF's tool flagging your account for deletion where as before it would of just passed you by. Also absolutely nothing that happened last year matters at all now, the recent mass bannings and aggressive approach's from SE are new, hence the use of the word "recent" and not "past". There won't be a warning, the STF doesn't issue warnings, they don't issue temps, they just perma and walk away.

Anyhow the information has been provided despite the trolls best attempts otherwise. If someone wish's to know more then contact me via PM, I won't risk people like NynJa and D44k attempting to GM me with hordes of mules.

Sometimes I wonder if you miss the fact that it's so common there is no way there is no logical reason that would be a criteria for anything. They are flagging people for the other actually suspicious stuff and it just so happens some of those people happen to log in for long times. Might as well say doing suspicious things while having an account flags you. So unless your "information" has a source other than your conjecture it's just that bad conjecture

Out of curiosity how many people log out of FFXI? It seems far more convenient to leave it running and by the number of afk people I see in adoulin and jeuno I figured most of the player base felt the same way.

POS warping seems to be the big ticket to a lot of the recent suspensions but I've never heard of being banned 20 seconds later. They usually do delayed bans of a week or so later lol. Also people with their anecdotes don't realize that these all started within the last four months or so, so unless you have something from that period your opinion really doesn't apply to today's game.

I didn't arrive at this conclusion by spinning around, it was done after screwing around on alts and mules trying to get myself banned. With a plethora of free accounts available and a VPN services that enables me to home my connection to anywhere in the world, it was pretty easy to test different setups and scenarios. It's how I arrived at the conclusion that the STF profiling tool excludes any account that's connection from a Japanese IP address amongst a few others.

There is an extremely discernible pattern once people remove their emotions from the problem and stop getting butt hurt. Two different entities ban under different scenarios and must be treated differently. GM's ban for reports or system flags (POS hacking seems to do this), these can be temps or permas and they seem to be a bit harsher then in previous years. The second is the routine mass bannings from the STU and these are impersonal and the results of some guy running a program over night then coming in the next day and clicking "select all" "issue ban". What makes people's names pop hot almost universally centers around activities that would, from the STF point of view, appear to be RMT gil farming. Over many posts I've outlined some of the things I know they are checking for, they most likely have more and could change them at any given moment. Being continuously logged in is more certainly a contributing factor, it's actually against the ToS as is dual boxing. I'm just informing you guys how to avoid getting your shit banned as one by one each of you is being nuked.

Where in the terms of service is this explicitly enumerated? Also, n-boxing is not against the terms of service unless you are using automation software. Say that you have two accounts, two terminals, and two controllers. Or better yet, say that you use office productivity software like Multiplicity to n-box. You aren't against the terms of service because you are not using automation software. Automation software and cheats are the line. Draw the line anywhere else, and you'll have a slippery slope--a logical and rhetorical fallacy.

Technically you're violating ToS n-boxing even without automation software if you're using windower to n-box. I honestly don't think they're enforcing that but they could.

Dont grind xp/cp for 6+ hours at a time solo (solo being one human person, 1 active char with 5 inactive chars is "solo")

Thats how you wont get banned. Having your character stand idle for 10 hours while you're afk will have no bearing at all on your chance of getting banned, none, nothing, at all, nada.

So you don't have inside info this is just what you garnered from limited testing. So what were your test parameters and results and sample sizes of each then? There have been enough reports otherwise that it's clearly not an all or nothing so what were your increase or decreased chances from different things.

Also where are you getting your information about staying logged in or dual boxing because neither are in any of the rules and policies found on playonline website.

Not always an auto-ban, it's been done many times by friends of mine by accident. Also this isn't so cut and dry, people keep reporting different things. One thing for sure, they are changing the way they do things now. Either auto-ban system is somehow in place or they are very vigilant on things for whatever crazy reason at this point after that announcement. Someone is reporting being suspended for multi-boxing and not using anything but windower. So who knows what that could even be or if that person is lying. I don't see how you could be banned for that, how would they even detect something like that? I know people who use different PCs for each character they multi-box and don't see how that is at all against the rules.
