I noticed the "Do not remove devices while connecting" logging into PlayOnline recently. What exactly are they looking for/can mess up the log in process?

I am assuming it is for checking for game controllers, etc and if you unplug it while logging in during that then replug them in they will not work. The game has controller settings on pol, so assuming it is for something like that. This message actually been on pol for quite awhile.

Anyone know what is going with ffevo, I have tried to log into site but it looks really different, I used to be member and I can't use my old password and name, also I see what a lot posts are gone now, no more exiled, easy farm or cureplease maybe they just moved to other site... Or the incredibly vague interfering with others play experience. In theory that's great get rid of people making it so others can't play. Send those people holding ground kings for hours to keep them in their time zone to jail. On the other hand perma banning someone for farming empty zones that have plenty of mobs available not so much

Except yeah to my knowledge they never banned for monopolizing nms to the point many people in my LS just stopped camping or quit altogether. Now here SE is banning for farming empty zones just cause they're now too cheap to pay a GM to check if the person is afk botting. In the past they would leave you alone botting talacca or boyahda days on end. These days though due to total lack of clarification by SE, no one has any idea if even legit farming is tolerated

Depends on how they were monopolized... before they implemented rage timers holding them for hours to keep the ToD about the same or to change it was a thing that I heard of people getting at least having a gm pull them out and talk to them. But just camping, claiming and killing was fair game

well i was thinking like keeping a mule at tiamat with alarm going off as soon as it pops, vs botting kings with staggered delays, vs RMT afk claiming ulli all day, vs killing random shit in empty zones for 5 hours which now seems to trigger some kind of red flag. I mean which of these does not disrupt the experience of others in any way? Yet which has gotten banned in the game's history?

along those lines, for SE to allow so much illicit behavior post adoulin release and then suddenly crack down on every little harmless infringement as the game is ending is especially shitty

Ended up getting hit with an LM-31 early Friday morning.

Didn't even have a warning prior to this, so it seems they are really going hard at it now. Most I did anymore was a little craft botting and running at 150, but I'm sure they had enough prior "unable to change zones" logs to make it an easy decision.

Wasn't even mad honestly and they were polite enough to do it right before the next monthly charges were due to hit.

Their system really should be more outlined though, but that would actually require good CS from S-E.

Did you get temp or permaban? Sounds like you were doing things very similar to me (well except the craft bot). I ended up getting a 72 hour ban, did the email specify a time your ban would end?

SE literally added a command to the game to 'craft bot' 5 crafts at a time.

I thought LM-31 was billing issue. I'm fairly certain I got that error a handful of times on my alt when I used to play.

Due to either an unresolved issue with service fees or a violation of the PlayOnline or FINAL FANTASY XI agreements, PlayOnline services have been suspended. Please contact the Square Enix Support Center for details (LM-31)

Had to look it up before I made my post. Could have been that your bank saw a payment going out to them and thought it wasn't you paying for it and issued an automatic charge back.

You don't get the "unable to change zones" message by flee hacking at 150. Hell, considering the majority of the flee hacks I have seen still consider 100% speed as the old normal speed, setting it at 125 is actually current normal speed. You shouldn't get the "unable to change zones" unless you are going 300+, at which point, yes, you are begging to be caught and banned.
