I'm skeptic about the fact they didn't notice payments coming from the same credit card, or being logged from the same IP.

I doubt they regularly look into that kind of stuff. They still haven't seemed to put together despite me telling them that the account they banned is owned by the same person who owns the accounts of the only characters it has dealt with which would be the only people who could be rmting with <.<. And yeah all same credit card and IP.

The guy on XIAH who reported a new character mule has now reported that the new character mule has been LM-11'd. If it's true, it indicates that SE isn't verifying reports at all.

No the last time I got to actually talk to a customer rep they plainly said SE never backs down goodbye.

But a friend let me use his old account. Granted he quit back at 95 and only had like 3 jobs lvld to begin with so I have a lot of work to do just to get it useable for anything other than afking in skirmish and still out the probably 60 mil I had in gil and sellables... and a fairly well geared brd but can at least get some triboxing in or will be able to eventually. Still contemplating on remaking ghorn

This is just conjecture, but maybe theyre so backed up on reports they adopted a temporary "guilty until proven innocent" policy whereby they ban everyone suspected and then they'll review them all at once and then overturn innocent accounts. Might be actually faster then to review each case individually, especially if you want to send a powerful message and scare players.

You are aware the problem lies in the possibility that SE is getting a report of someone botting, and immediately banning that account without doing any investigation whatsoever.

Mule got hit last night and I haven't use EF in a couple days.

They must be backed up or they really dont care and will ban you without looking. I am tempted to call a GM tonight after work on one of my other mules that doesnt use any hacks just to see if they ban him also.

Not sure if it counts for anything but went to my se page and still have the option of reactivating my account; and a friend of mine who was busted with the 3 day vacay hasn't been rebanned (just texted to confirm)

It's funny because I set him up to farm sparks and Unity points while lvling subs killing shit no one ever does and in a random spot that spawns 3 mobs because I didn't want to take mobs from people.

I had 4 other accounts out skilling up and casting on him and those accounts are fine as of this morning when I left for work.

I don't think they're going in alphabetical order, there are some A-F's that didn't get hit but some people at the other end of the alphabet have gotten temps. Also I notice the thread on xiah got locked.

Not surprised about the thread getting locked just because someone asked a question about what's the worst hack/bot/exploit incident over the years. The moderation skill of the people on that forum/site is laughable at best, a simple delete and warning to anyone that continues said conversation would yield the same punishment. Fairly certain they don't even know how to follow their own rules that are established, nothing listed about talking about the past but there is about talking about where you can download, rehost or look for current third-party applications.
