I was just informed by SE there is no process in-place to have a banned or "unusable" account reversed and reinstated. Oh well I guess. I tried.

correct, the majority of players that mattered and were relevant in endgame at the time were banned because of those bans.

I dunno wtf you mean by "think what they did was smarter" but regardless, who cares? They got banned back then too, but they started over. You ran a bot for nearly a year, be glad you had the merits and JPs to do what you found fun for that year and take it for what it is.
