So I have two FFXI accounts, on two different SE IDs. One got hit today, one did not. Both of them use the following windower plug ins;
timestamp, autoinvite, tparty, config, delaymenot, sandbox, ssorgainizer
And I use clipper on both of them, both only movespeed and it's only set to like +25%, and clipper is only on if Im sitting at my PC actually playing. I maybe use the directional buttons once a day to get up a ledge or through a door, and I do everything with both accounts together at the same time, always. If one clips through a door, they both do. The only difference between the two accounts is the one that got banned did old nyzul once like 2 weeks ago, and was logged in this morning, while the one that did not get banned was logged out this morning.

Oh, the other difference is the one that got banned was made like 3-4 years ago, and deactivated after the free trial until like 2 months ago, and the one that did not get banned I bought from steam 2 months ago.

EDIT; every couple days I turn on the guildwork plugin, type /gw flush, then shut it off as well.

my tinfoil hat in LockStyle is really starting to believe the nonsense that they are trying to ban as many as they can to shut it down via bans rather than turning off the servers lol.

Or more likely, given that the servers are on the way to perma-stasis, there's nothing stopping them from GM Davemoding everyone who corporate said "Nah, don't step on too many toes."

If it's a significant number of players, I guess all that cheatmoding does have a significant effect on the game now, doesn't it?

No more than making marijuana affects everyone by putting tons of people in prison because it is not legal!

None of those should be detectable, although autoinvite potentially could be depending how well implemented it is. Regardless, I would point to clipper as your most probable cause.

Another strange thing, he got tempbanned on all his 3 accounts, whereas usually people reported here to get pretty random bans between mains/mules etc.

Are those three accounts on the same SE ID? If so, that's why they all got hit.

Knowing whom Sechs is talking about I can answer this question. 2 char were on same SE ID, the other one was on separate account/ID, and no it was not me.

So far every case of ban/suspension has been with clipper/tako involved? Anyone that didn't use those programs and get temped? Also @ Kamugi, just because one got temped and the other didn't, doesn't mean they won't do it a week or two later to the other character. The bans seem heavily delayed.

Another Clipper user here. The email mentioned bots but I haven't used any bots since Abyssea. I just don't know what time frame they were monitoring my character. Was only yesterday that I was shooting around fucking Salvage at speeds that would normally net you an LM-17. I don't use anything out of the ordinary in terms of Windower addons/plugins.

After all of the bending over they have done in the past because of third party programs, it's strange they have chose a time like now to start throwing out bans. A time each subscription is worth more to them than anything else.

Clipper is in the same category as 3rd party bot programs according to SE, so every email they send out with bans has all that in same category I believe.

I'll miss GM mode the most, fuck running into people or if people are following you. Not all jobs can reach 18% move speed though but I guess we really don't run too much now with HP warps everywhere.

Meh, the only reason I used Clipper in the first place was that I hated having to drop my movement speed so my mule could keep up, if there was a Skadi feet equivalent for WHM I'd be set.

Totally not fair they give Fajin boots with 18% movement speed to a thf that can already flee but 12% to most other jobs that do not have that ability. I wish my whm had 18% movement speed feet...

I got hit with my first 3 day temp suspension roughly 18 hours ago. Reason given is the catchall "2.1 Cheating and Botting.". Oddly enough I got the boot about an hour after using Tako's warp feature for the first, and seemingly last, time (to travel across the length of La Thiene while doing Sandy mission 2-2 on a mule). I originally thought that was the reason but seeing how many others were affected, I'm not so sure now. Prior to that I had only used it for JA0wait and movement speed (typically +200%, but occasionally up to +300%) with auto-disable always on and set to 25%. I came back 2 weeks ago from a year and a half break so I think it's safe to assume the reason is for something done in the last 2 weeks. No 3rd party tools used beyond Tako and Windower.
