From what I understand Windower 4 has code specifically to disable it, so you gotta load Windower 3! Honestly it feels really awkward to use these days, haha. But Allseeingeye works!

Yeah I just load up Windower 3 anytine I need ASE and then relog properly after.

No. It's easily possible to recreate ASE through Lua on Windower 4 and versions of it have been floating around since a few days after v4's release. The v3 dll doesn't work for a myriad of reasons.

No such thing, Windower 4 has no code to specifically disable anything. It's just that no old plugins work with the new Windower due to the change of the underlying API.

Also, what Byrth said. ASE is a three-liner Windower 4 addon and even I have heard of at least two versions of it being in circulation.

I can tell you ase does exist and work with windower 4. That said I really wish I had windower 3, I liked it more.

What was to like more with Windower 3? WIndower 4 gives you an easy way to find and enable plugins, and multiple profiles to load easily.

Got the banhammer myself. Used multiple ProjectTAKO functions. ja0Wait, speed, clipping, etc. Never used maintenance mode, or GM mode, that stuff never really bothered me(running in to others and whatnot.) Also obviously windower, gearswap, though I am gonna go ahead and say that i doubt they're doing windower bans.

Really sucks, just finished my relic, and was getting hyped to do Rhapsodies, but oh well. I thought about doing another character just to do RoV for a hot minute, then said fuck it. The game has just gotten so out of control. Ever since the media release of the future of FFXI, I brushed off comments about them trying to slowly kill the game just to be their way of telling people to GTFO. But now I am honestly starting to think about those same comments.

I have never seen such large ban waves (other than the obvious v1 Salvage bans and whatnot), than I have since they made the announcement about the future of FFXI. What does SE care if I wanna use Haste Samba and move while I do it, compared to having to stand still.

Ahh well, either way, I'm just sour about it. I'm sure a lot of others will be understanding in the fact that, a lot of time and effort went in to building the character, and I would have been happy watching him go down with the server shutdown eventually somewhere along the road. But not like this, not just suddenly not being able to say goodbye and whatnot.

Was real SE, thanks for the last decade, but fuck you for the way you ended it.

Pretty sure it's all over the place. I've been told people have botted/"clipper"ed/etc as far back as 2-3 months ago and just now they're getting the fallback from it.

Didn't you get banned from here? Clipper wasn't something they were banning for hardcore until recently, like a month ago. They were banning for botting CP primarily, only recently has cupper been an issue so widespread.

There's never been a point in time where clipper wasn't a bannable offense, nor a point in time where it wasn't one of the easiest to track.

Nobody who uses it should be surprised at a ban being handed down.

Except everyone used it 24/7 and rarely got suspended for it. They are obviously now cracking down a lot harder on it from all the testimonials that are coming up about banning. There's no need to warn others, it's common sense now. Everyone knows not to use these things, they just tell themselves 'just a little will be OK' and think they're being conspired against when it's not. I've contributed significant facts to this thread, regarding the detection capability of FFXI's client and server. You respond to every single post I make trying to insult me, while the most you've contributed is 'wahh people are getting banned' paraphrased a dozen times.

The mods are more than welcome to ban me again if they're still upset I called Isladar out on pretending to be competent 5(?) years ago. You got suspended yourself and came onto forums saying you had no idea why and trying to make it seem like SE was out to get people. The same way you reacted, these people are. It wasn't common sense until a month or so ago when SE has shown they are cracking down on these programs that they weren't for a very long time. They rarely ever banned for clipper use, now it seems they do it even if you barely use its features.
