The majority who browse the FFXI section, not the entire site. Put the game out? Try reading my post before you respond. I said they try to put people down who still play it, and try to annoy them in general. It doesn't matter if they think its shit, its the fact they keep posting on a site/section related to that game in hopes of bothering people, converting them or putting them down. That to me says crazy more than any person "defending" FFXI or enjoying it.

Going back to this Dark Knight thing it is like your parents were banned 100+ times. Now you are out for justice by putting a fork in the perceptions that remain!


Now, it is one thing to keep hurling meaningless nonsense about people having mental issues all the time. That just reflects poorly upon you, and we will all send you a christmas card. However, to try and tarnish peoples characters by saying they are reporting you repetitively for disagreeing with you (did't you say someone else has a victim complex?) is just sad.
You also take some of the fun out of it when we all have to put on rubber gloves before typing to you.

that being said i find it pointless to just hurl insults back and forth at 2 people who are linkshell members, having you both post the same thing at the same time in response to me is kind of redundant.

people who say ffxi is bad aren't saying it because they want to annoy you, thinking so is having a victim complex. if you can't see that then idk what to tell you. i would have preferred the longevity of the game but SE ran it in to the ground and i don't find it the least bit enjoyable personally. as i've said several times i'm sure a lot of people do, it has a great social factor and the job versatility is pretty neat. personally i prefer to chat on facebook or forums so it's not really the game for me

There is a difference between saying ffxi is bad and going to every popular FFXI related section or site and constantly posting the game is horrible and people who like it are horrible. My whole point was those people are nuts and need help and then you had to comment when you didn't even know the facts lol. It's pretty evident on GW/FFXIAH. Also I never even report on this site, last time I did it was for a legit reason and I got an infraction, so I don't bother.

I just wanna get this out there: the PS2-based resources excuse we got about FFXI is bullshit. This is a lie from SE because they needed to blame something. Development is not so simple such that one can "transplant" elements as SE claims is the process for developing FFXI on Windows and Xbox 360. The architectures of Windows, Xbox 360, and PS2 are all different. If SE's claim were true, then POL would have long been abolished, and FFXI would be natively compatible with later versions of 64-bit Windows. This is not the case today. FFXI does not run on OpenGL, nor is the PlayOnline Viewer a form of Cygwin that emulates the PS2 as opposed to Linux. Transplanting elements from Windows to Xbox 360 (both have DirectX API, which XI uses on Windows) or visa-versa would have been understandable.

The fact is that SE uses a gaming engine they have ported across all three platforms. It is most certainly not PS2 based though. If it were, Sony would be tossing emulators SE's way for an extra couple bucks to keep the game running on PC. For the above reasons, I don't buy that rhetoric from SE for a second.
