How much alex is reasonable to get on a single run? (assuming you're solo THF or DNC or some optimal solo job)
How much alex is reasonable to get on a single run? (assuming you're solo THF or DNC or some optimal solo job)
Kinda back on topic, which I know for this thread is a rarity.
But I was banned back at the beginning of April on all of my accounts, it was just a temp ban. I was 6boxing skirmishes. I was using an old fface program to auto assist/auto follow as well as clipper. So I was not surprised about the ban.
I am looking to come back to the game, but dont really want to see my accounts get banned again. I have no issues discontinuing the use of clipper/fface.
But basically I am curious if anyone has any input/experience on using binder/dual send to control all my accounts at once. Ive played that way for the past year or so without any bans. But I have also used clipper in the same time frame and never had issues.
TLDR: Am I safe to use the windower program binder or dualsend to control multiple accounts at once without those characters being in focus.
It depends on how much time you invest.
On RDM/NIN with TH2, I skip all the single gears and NMs, but kill all triple gears, chariots, and ramparts. I generally get 45-48 from normal mobs, 50-99 from Linen from mega boss, and then another 50-99 from NQ boss about 7-10% of the time.
I'd say I average about 130 for 30 minute runs (including the chance for double linen). If you stop to farm NMs for cotton pouches or single gears, you'll average higher, but it'll take longer too.
So assuming you have access to 2 characters for some kind of optimal manual efficiency, it's around 120 hours of actual farming. Would be interesting to see what others have to say. This is only one of the many objectives and I still even wonder if it's better to make money other ways and buy them given the lower price although I have no context for this game anymore.
Also consider that demand may go up given how much less ridiculous the einherjar requirement is now.
Einherjar is faster than assaults/nyzul. It only takes <5 min to solo as well, where as with nyzul you have to grind out the full 30 minutes each time.
I imagine there will be people there spamming Ein over and over anyways as there isn't much advantage to solo (unless the drops are actually good.) 5 minute clear times might be on the high side.
There goes another way to legitimately make gil on this game by farming alex, and selling it to make gil. Hopefully it will not tank too bad but already a lot of people are noticing alex getting harder to sell after all these bans, and prices are already dropping even before this ki announcement.
I read the whole update thread at ~5am when I was adding it to the news section of wiki. I did however miss clicking the seperate KI link and was wondering what everyone was talking about with the KIs.
Didn't they JUST say they were not going to make mythics easier a few times in that thread complaining about them? Where they said they were going to adjust some assaults, but not anything else because blah blah Mythics? What the fuck is going on over there? lol
That being said I have and love my Tizona, and I am not bitter like I am sure tons of people will be. QQIhadtodoitharder.

If I recall, the statement was that they were not going to reduce the amount of Alex needed.
To a fair degree, the actual in-game goals aren't easier (relative to pre-patch, obviously they're easier compared to 75 era), and they'll still take a similar amount of playtime to accomplish. It's largely a matter of convenience.
Seems like it will take less playtime to accomplish. The actual tasks will take about the same amount of time but you're cutting out all the prep time. You can do more of it in one sitting and as such eliminate all job changes, travel to whitegate, looking for a group to do stuff with (assuming you're talking nyzul or perhaps ein - and you might even find a group to spam assaults with for a 10 min tag).
inb4 the worst part of making a mythic is the congestion at ZNMs thanks to the 3 min respawn on the ??? (or was that always the worst part xD)
If you thought zeni was the worst part of making a mythic back at 75 then I am seriously impressed.
Was just listing things worst than the 3 minute wait... though I know some people who honestly thought zeni collection was too hard. Like these people would be given weeks notice we were doing T4s and couldn't even collect the 500 to get to the fight in a ls that basically did znms and znms only 24/7 <.<
/raises hand
could never stand Zeni. I was staying offline on purpose sometimes if event was ZNM because I couldn't be arsed to farm those pics.
(back then I couldn't do it alone efficiently, I had to rely on other friends to sleep stuff etc)
Another factor in the difficulty - The rewards. It's hard to get people to do ZNM when there was barely any incentive
