It will be awhile before we know who is doing well. Have to look at how many games each person has used up, and how far ahead they are in certain categories.

Yep, Roto isn't decided until the end of the year. Personally I'm going to run out of goalie starts sometime mid-March at this rate.

The Standings page really has all the information you need:

In the bottom chart, sort each category from top to bottom and you see where you line up. That number corresponds to the top chart with how many points you get. For example, since I'm first in Goalie Wins for example, I get 6 points for that category (there are 6 teams). Since you are 2nd in Goalie Wins, you get 5 points.

If you need to figure out what to improve upon, look at the bottom chart and see what category you're within striking range of going up a few ranks on.

Fixed number of starts is a good thing. It means I can't grab 10 defense-men and win blocked shots by default. Everything evens out.

You play me this week in Yahoo so expect another win. I am somehow 2-2 in ESPN with Neuvirth, Hutton, and Reimer as goalies and Horton, Hall, and Wis on the IR. Corey Perry is saving the day for me (fuck him nonetheless).

If you look on your team page, there is a "Limits" tab. It will show you how many games you can play at each spot (forwards, defense, util, goalie) and how many you have used. It's partially so as Palin said, you can't play all D and get all the blocks/def points, or play all centers and get all the FOW but also so you can't pick up 5 guys a week and just add more and more games to get more stats.

If you pick up guys, you are picking them up because you are strong in a spot and weak in another and want to try to get better in that one. (ie, I'm gonna blow people away in hits, so I dropped a hitter for a shooter to raise that stat)

Hey we just had a really close week in Yahoo. My only suggestion would be to try and find a 3rd goalie because it's hard to compete in wins with just two.

I'd put Lecavalier in a lower end center. I wouldn't be giving up any of my A listers for him, would maybe mull over a Lecavalier for Granlund, but he's now starting to heat up.

Suggestion for ESPN points next year: Reduce the value of goalie saves. Goalies are way too OP.
